I heard he fell off his horse and got hurt. I don’t think it’s too serious, though.
I know this thread is tongue-in-cheek, but the answer to this question is easy. Lots do. Someone with Reeve’s injury level would be expected to have a shortened life but much longer than he did, estimated to be around mid-60s. It’s unfortunate, but it sounds like he died of a common, preventable secondary complication of SCI – sepsis secondary to a pressure wound. And with all the care he had at his disposal that boggles my mind. I have to remind myself, though, that I don’t know the details…but it is hard not to make that connection.

Not everyone visits CS on a regular basis. I only go there a few times a month, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only doper who has faves among the forums. So I’d be likely to see it in MPSIMS, but I wouldn’t have known that it was in CS since I go there so rarely.
What’s the big deal anyway? We’ve had these “why post 400 threads on XYZ when it’s already covered in forum 1, and forum 2”? whines before and not just about celebrity deaths.
So what if someone posts another thread? Not everyone saw the “it’s already POSTED in CS dork!!!” thread in CS you know?
I just got through moving, and just got back online and stuff, so I didn’t find out through Cafe Society OR MPSIMS, I found out through the good ole BBQ Pit (hmmmm, that’s three threads on the subject now, and so far the sky hasn’t fallen). Sheesh, doncchuuu guys have something better to do than whine about who is posting what thread?
By the way, shame about it anyway, I just watched a 60 minutes (or maybe 48 hours on his progress and thought that he was doing well).
