‘Simpsons’ stars in work stoppage

I haven’t been too keen on the Simpsons for a while, but lately, they’ve been getting better. At first I was thinking “who the hell needs $360,000 per episode?!” then I realized what other stars are making. Oy. Pony up, Fox!

That said, if they do get cancelled or put on hiatus, then I’m sure Fox will pick up its option to air the new Family Guy episodes next year. Either way, I’ll have SOMETHING good to watch.

The last “Simpsons” work dispute was in 1998, at a time when the actors were making $30,000 per episode. The show’s producer, Twentieth Century Fox TV, hired casting directors in five cities to replace most of them before both sides worked out a new deal and resumed production.

Season 3 wasn’t all that great. And I don’t own any of the Seasons on DVD yet, because unless I’m out of the loop, Season 4 isn’t out yet, and I don’t buy DVDs that often anyway. And sorry, I thought I was entitled to my opinion on this matter. You don’t need to be a prick.
