Say something good about Donald Trump. Can you?

No, I can’t. I have read all the answers in the thread so far and I still can’t think of something genuinely good about him. He is a bad person who has corrupted everything he ever came close to. I fear for the Earth the day he is finally buried.

The USA already eliminated the half penny coin in 1857, and what was the benefit of that? Did that improve anything? Why do you place such high hopes in getting rid of the full pence?

What good are they? Canada and Australia are doing fine after getting rid of their one-cent coins. And they cost too much to make; getting rid of them may be just a drop in the bucket of US government spending, but it’s a start.

I’m not placing high hopes on it. I will however grant that it’s one thing Trump has done which there’s some sense in doing.

I’m hoping that when he’s supposed to wake up an hour early in a couple of weeks (not that I expect he will if he doesn’t feel like it) he’ll go into a snit and declare that from now on there won’t be any Daylight Savings Time.

But I’m also hoping he won’t wake up one morning and decide to abolish all currency whatsoever and say that everybody has to use crypto from now on.

He’s going to die.

Already cited above, but the fact that he doesn’t drink is the only good thing about him. I imagine he’d be a mean drunk. But maybe he’d be a Rob Ford type and do it in public so there’d at least be some entertainment value to it.

He’s not Kamala Harris. On the other hand, a good thing about Kamala Harris is that she’s not Donald Trump. I suppose this doesn’t work.

I got one! His house is on a pretty bit of shoreline!

ETA: I deleted my response to this post as it’s a tangent. For the sake of this thread, I’ll just disagree that Harris is anything less than a pretty decent politician, and therefore disagree that this works as a good thing about Trump.

For a fat guy he doesn’t sweat much.

I tried to, and I can’t. The closest I could get was that he made me realize how precious our democracy is, but that’s only because he is taking a sledgehammer to it in the name of selfishness and greed. So no, that doesn’t count. He’s the worst thing the US has ever elected to high office.

Understand he is good golfer, although he often cheats.
Does that count🤷🏻‍♂️

He might actually love his kids, though I don’t know for sure. If he does, then that would be a good thing about him.

Yes, he truly loves Ivanka more than most fathers. But is that good?

He emits carbon dioxide which is good for plants.
Its all I got.

What a waste of oxygen!

As others have said, he wants to get rid of the penny. That happened here in Canada a while back and nobody misses them at all.

Trump has given new energy, impetus, and prominence to the “lifts” industry.

(The kind you put in your shoes.)

I don’t think that would count, for me, as “actually lov(ing).” At any rate, if you’re implying what I think you are; for which I believe he said something that would seem to indicate some evidence.

Sigh. I went both ways. Now picking on this is against the spirit of this thread. Hang your head in shame.

We can pick it up elsewhere if you like; this thread is not old enough to be a zombie: Kamala should run for president again in 2028

He is good business for the news media and talk shows, late night comedians, SNL, and political cartoonists. He may bring peace to Ukraine. Or “piece” as in Ukraine may become a piece of Russia.
