I agree that the board should be more welcoming to new members that can plausibly aid in the fight against ignorance. I’d start with having members discourage zombie jokes in GQ. I’d also loosen or clarify the guidelines on junior modding a tad. To wit, overtly friendly remarks to newbies should get a pass (as they do now actually).

Yes. Quite. I figured out over a decade ago that modern conservatives were walking glass houses and that their characterizations of liberals were mostly a twisted form of projection. Don’t accuse them of the latter though. Just point out their displays of fragility: there are plenty of examples. In your mind recall their mockery of those advocating content advisories for victims of violence - a simple heads up is more than conservatives can bear.
