This one is used by romance scammers pretending to be US military, they get their marks to send them money through the website through a variety of ruses.
These websites come and go because they get flagged pretty quickly, this one is still up but it’s been flagged so you have to click through a lot of “this is a scam, don’t go there” warnings to view it.
Parts of the website look pretty real but the red flags are….the weird font on the title, the non US formatting of the phone number and the odd sounding physical address with no zip code.
I got a Facebook message from someone I don’t know. She mentioned the name of a nearby town and the year 1964. She said, ‘I think you knew him,’ and provided a link to what was purported to be a news article about a crash.
She got the region right. But 1964? Hahahahaha! I don’t know you, I’m not clicking your link.
I told my wife about it so that she wouldn’t click on a link from an unknown person.
The World Health Organization doesn’t know what a QR code is.
