My Kerry Washington trumps your Kevin Spacey. Well, to me at least. 
Maybe people don’t talk about it here, but I feel like it’s endlessly promoted on NPR and the pop culture podcasts I listen to (Slate Culture Gabfest, Pop Culture Happy Hour, Firewall and Iceberg) to the point that though I initially had no interest, I felt I finally had to try it just to see what the hype was about. And my conclusion, after watching the first couple episodes on Netflix, was that it was just too OTT. Waaayyyy too OTT. I guess I prefer dramas that *are *afraid to be ridiculous.
I thought the SNL parody with Lena Dunham was hilarious though.
