Oh, yeah, I remember that one a little bit. I loved the music as a kid. I kinda fear looking it up to find out what it was that I loved.

And there’s a scene from Rikki-Tikki-Tavi that I barely remember, but the female cobra says, “Blah blah blah and I will strike,” in this horrible voice and it freaked me out as a kid.

I thought the sand-snake (the first snake Rikki Tikki kills) was much worse. Appears from nowhere with a ghastly “Be careful…I am death.”

Scared me as a kid.

For me the scariest scene of E.T. was when they found him at the base of the waterfall, all pink & shriveled. No, he was not cute, he was appalling. Yuck.

Dante himself couldn’t have imagined a more horrific existence for a being than “The Greedy.” What kind of evil must he have committed to earn that kind of Hell?

There is a rough Buddhist equivalent, though, in the concept of the “hungry ghost”.

I remember Disney’s Sleeping Beauty where the evil queen/sorceress turns into a huge dark evil fire-breathing dragon and says “Now shall you deal with ME, o Prince - and all the powers of HELL!”

I don’t know if was more frightening or just surprising that she said “HELL.”

Oh, Maleficent is SUCH an awesome villain…

My scary scene was the tense moment in Bambi where these birds (pheasants, quails?) were hiding from the Evil Hunter in the grass. They couldn’t see him and one bird got so frightened she couldn’t stand it and burst from her hiding place…only to be shot dead by the Evil Hunter.
I also remember being petrified of the huge forest fire…scared that all the animals and birds wouldn’t make before the fire consumed them. Thinking how they lost their homes and probably a few friends and family members too.

There was a Henson movie with some Muppets, but mostly about a smallish girl and boy (who were a type of something, halflings or something)
