Scary signs you have seen.

Brown signs are used to indicate parks, recreational areas, and historical landmarks. That one means “point of interest.”

By far the scariest sign I ever saw, as I emerged from the fog, was “Thin Ice”. I was driving a '63 Chrysler Newport across a frozen lake at the time. It’s amazing how fast you can switch to reverse with a push-button transmission.

I’ve really enjoyed this thread, and I can think of two I’d like to add;

In Singapore, a smallish island city/state, the military installations are necessarily contained within the city, and enclosed by a high chain link fence topped with barbed wire. In addition, in their four official languages it says, No Entry etc. Were that not enough to deter you, or in case you should be illiterate, there is also a profile of a guy getting shot in the back!
And in Indonesia where driving is a unique experience, they have a roadsign that consists of an exclamation mark; !. That’s all. Don’t know about you, but that would slow me down!

In the summer of 1966 I was driving a jeep in the boonies of Fort Gordon, Georgia. Going down an unpaved road, I had to stop due to a fence that was across the road. On the fence, facing AWAY from me, was a sign. I climbed up on the fence, leaned over, and read the sign: ARTILLERY IMPACT AREA - KEEP OUT.

I am thinking of the last sign on the page, left:
