Scents or eccentric - dogs and Kleenex

I have had two dogs out of my three that have been nuts about tissues. Were they eccentric, or were they smelling the scent of my - and my parents’ mucus. My one dog would eat dirty kleenex, but only out of the bathroom wastebasket. I thought maybe it was an attention-getting things, but recently my new 8 month old puppy ate a tissue, and had to be told “no” loudly a couple times befoer getting the idea tht a tissuein the box wasn’t to be toucheed.

He hasn’t done it lately so maybe he gets the idea now. But, why do they like tusiues - it seems like it isn’t just the dirty ones this one liked, though my other dog who liked them preferred only the messy ones. Again, though, only int he bathroom.

My dogs don’t eat tissues or napkins, new or used. However, one likes to disembowel stuffed toys, and literally throw around the fiber filling.

My dog eats used tissues and disembowels stuffed toys. The tissues are such a treat we had to replace several of our open garbage cans with ones with lids.

When he wants attention he’ll go after the kids’ toys or shoes. The tissues seem to be for the pure pleasure of it.
