schadenfreude motherfucker

Seeing that smarmy, smug, lying jerk Romney lose something he has worked the last 10+ years to achieve was great. Knowing that last night 15 million tea partiers heads exploded because they can’t figure out how they lost so many different races is great too. I love being petty.

Fuckin’-schaden-fuckin’-freude fuckin’-mother-fuckin’-fucker!

Go roll around in gold coins in your fuckin’ Cayman Island vaults. You can use them to buy material stuff - more car elevators or whatever - but they are worthless for buying the hearts and minds of the American people - they are worthless for buying the White House. Spending them on ads and robocalls and billboards doesn’t work anymore.

We have our own voice now, and it’s bigger and louder than anything you can buy!

Yep.

Akin? Lost.

Mourdock? Lost.

Walsh? Lost.

West? Lost

Bachmann? Ooh, so close…

I see Mia Love lost too, although apart from her convention appearance I don’t know enough about her to have a view. But clearly the fact that she and West lost shows how racist the Democrats are. Muahahaha.

I remember how terrified a lot of people, myself included, were with citizens united meaning right wing billionaires could drown everyone else out. But even with their money they still failed. fuck em

^ Proud to say I helped with that one

A high school classmate of mine who has been regurgitating tea party crap on her Facebook page for the last 6 months is despondent. She’s in nursing school, and now feels like her education and her investment in her education has been a waste of money. So she has announced that she’s going to move to Norway.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

She should try Sweden instead, I hear they’re even more socialist than the norwegians.

She’s attractive and it appears that she’s single, so I’m sure that her first thought was that Norway or Sweden could use another hot nurse. Gotta love that tea party mentality.

Send her this link and tell her it’s all socialized medicine over there as well. They’re more socialist than most of Europe.

The ads were so stupid. They were so obviously propaganda. I guess they were no different than in the past, but the internet has sharpened our skills at filtering out bullshit.

The overwhelming amount of information we’re consistently exposed to, along with the very high noise to information ratio, may have forced us to become more discriminating in what we accept as truth. Maybe we’ve learned the hallmarks of propaganda and how to almost unconsciously detect and reject it.

When my husband was getting ready for work this morning, I handed him a tissue and told him that he’d need it when he turned on the news.

He’s muttering that he’s going to gather up his guns and move to CANADA. This stunned me for a second, and then I started giggling and couldn’t stop for a good half minute.

The only reason I haven’t foamed at the mouth over Citizens United is because I knew this would happen.

I’m faintly surprised the billionaires underestimated the average Americans’ ability to distinguish fact from propaganda.

Of course, the Koch asses and their brethren fear the internet like wild animals fear fire, so their inability to understand it, or the people to use it, would obviously make their predictions about people wrong.

Not to rain on anyone’s parade or anything, but didn’t half the electorate still vote for Romney? Don’t get me wrong, I’m as happy about the outcome as the next European, but a couple of thousand votes, strategically placed, could have turned this thing around. It’s not a landslide by any stretch of the imagination. Likewise, if Romney had won, half the country would still have voted for Obama. Just sayin’…

This. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about Mittens now that he’s safely away from the White House, but I am having a schadenfreude-fuckin’-palooza watching the Tea Party morons who’ve been flooding my inbox and Facebook wall with propaganda and lies for the past year twisting in the wind.

To my few decent, rational Republican friends, I’m sorry for your luck — but please do something about your ridiculous joke of what used to be a political party, because lord knows no one else is going to. To the rest of 'em: SUCK IT.

(Also, congratulations to the Democrats, most of whom ironically enough want nothing to do with me since I voted for Gary Johnson. Thanks for beating Mitt.)

A couple of thousand? No.

maybe 500,000. Definitely a million.

I agree about the negative ads. They are so childish and obviously propaganda that I just scoff at them. It actually turns me off of the the candidate they are supporting.

“The opponent is a poo-poo head. You’re a poo-poo head if you vote for him. Don’t be a poo-poo head. Vote our guy.”

On the contrary, Obama has a mandate from the masses to pass whatever legislation he wants to. The people have spoken.

I am slightly disappointed that I do not live in one of the “battleground” states, as that means I was not treated to the endless barrage of Presidential campaign ads this cycle. I believe this thread is the first time I have heard of “Citizens United.”

Also, Linda McMahon (former CEO of WWE) lost the Senate race in Connecticut. She spent over $36 million of her own money on this race (her opponent spent less than $9 million in total) and had also run unsuccessfully for the Senate in 2010. In that race, she spent more than $50 million of her own money.

Believe me, you did not miss out on anything. Other than 6 phone calls a day for 2 months. And my DVR filled up because watching TV was unbearable otherwise.
