Yeah, but I wonder how long that will last. It seems to be a word that most people see written down. I’ve heard her pronunciation all my life.
I wonder if adaher had a non-disclosure clause in the contract. I’d love to have an insider’s perspective on being a paid shill.
I think my favorite part of the whole evening (other than the outcome of course) was listening to Diane Sawyer. Holy crap, she was hilariously wasted.
Don’t worry, you’re not taking anything away from my delight.
Part of my delight is clowning around with the pronunciation. Try to remember, I’m the guy who talks back at the radio whenever the announcer says “Noter DAYME”, and shouts out “NOTE-Ruh DAHM!”
On the contrary, Bricker shows admirable restraint in the face of ridiculous and cynical provocations. It takes guts to put your ideas before people you know will be hostile to them, but that’s the only way progress is made.
I was not disappointed.
Beck’s take - which was delivered as though he just watched his family get murdered - the election results were indeed God’s will. And God’s will is that we need to suffer so that we finally wake up and discover what true freedom really is.
Limbaugh on the other hand is completely unhinged. I caught a solid 15 minutes of his show, in which time he barely took a breath as he railed against “everybody who voted for Obama” and how they all want free TeeVees and phones and all the food stamps they can get their hands on, and … “they want you and me to pay for it.” He’s about one undiagnosed aneurysm from dropping a full on N-bomb, at this point.
Fine entertainment.
Well, that’s exactly what Obama did.
Yeah, the left wing billionaires were the ones to drown everyone out this time around.
Obama spend about 100 million more than Romney.
Last post, 9:44AM 06 November. My assumption is the paycheck cleared his account shortly thereafter.
Most of the anti-Obama spend that I saw in Florida was American Crossroads and other Super PAC money. Relatively few pure Romney buys. Also didn’t notice much from MoveOn.org, at least on TV, this time around. What’s the total when you figure in the SuperPACs?
You want a humbling number? 118 million. That’s the TOTAL number of votes cast for this presidental election.
Decisions are made by those who show up. If someone managed to figure out a way to get the over 50% of eligible voters who don’t bother to show up at the polls both on their side and to go and vote you could change the world. Now it could be for good or for evil but either way
Hm. Should you tell him that West Virginia is, in fact, more diverse than Vermont? At least in terms of proportions of non-hispanic whites: (Vermont, 94.2%; West Virginia, 93%). If he’s scared of them queerly-colored folks he’s probably best off in Maine (94.3%). Just don’t come visit me in North Carolina (an utterly, pants-wettingly horrific 65% — and if he could only see the demographics of my morning bus ride! Discarded fried chicken bones and watermelon rinds everywhere!).
The other half are well on their way to jail; all hope is lost.
Holy shit that’s funny! She’s looped
My delight is simple: I’m laughing at those who had “1-21-13 End of an Error” stickers on their cars by Thanksgiving 2008 and the “Nobama” stickers. The man was never given a chance to prove his so called socialism, etc. before they tuned out.
Happy to have been part of that one!
One car that I see around town has a “No Hope in Socialism” bumpersticker, with the first O replaced with that sunrise Obama logo.
Try visiting Scandinavia sometime, dumb-ass. It might open your eyes.
Better idea - why don’t you move there?
Painful election for you, huh?
I was more indifferent to politics in 2004 and don’t think I was phased. A big part of why I wanted Obama to win was to ensure the ACA goes into effect, our health care system is a total failure and it is a good first step. If a republican wins the presidency in 2016 I won’t like it but it won’t be a big deal, just so long as the ACA remains the law.
If the ACA was overturned or rendered inept, then I’d cry like a little girl.
If you’re an Obama voter and having difficulty bringing the Schadenfreude - or should you care for a deliberate overdose - listen in to Shelly on YouTube.
