Dammit, now I want to watch “MurderFinder & Meat-Puppet”!

It’s not the first time the show was mentioned in the strip.

I don’t suppose you might want to provide some information for those who are unable or unwilling to blindly follow a link and have no clue what you’re talking about?

It’s not worth the effort. Two comic strips mention something called “Murderfinder & Meat Puppet.”

Depends if one is a fan of the webcomic “Schlock Mercenary”, which has been running daily since 2000 (I think). The reference is to a fictional show of the future that is sort of a takeoff of the movie “The Bone Collector”.

And yes, I am a major fan of Sgt. Schlock and the rest of the merry band of mercenaries.

Schlock Mercenary is a web comic set approximately 1000 years in the future which follows the adventures of a band of galactic mercenaries, “Tagon’s Toughs”; one of whom is Sergeant Schlock, a “carbosilicate amorph” (basically the Blob only intelligent, and not a bad guy for someone who is a sociopath by human standards). As for the reference in question:

Yeah, I thought it kind of obvious that a thread with a title including “schlockmercenary.com” was about Schlock Mercenary, and the OP added his own commentary in addition to the link. We don’t expect everyone starting a thread about a work of fiction to give an introductory paragraph explaining the premise of the work.

I’m sure that makes sense for those already familiar with something called “Schlock Mercenary” but that’s not everyone.

It should be!
