The Non-Superhero Comic Book Trivia Thread!

Well, the Tolkien thread has petered out, so I thought I’d try my hand at starting up a new one. This one is based on non-superhero comics. Questions can be from any publisher or any era, as long as they don’t concern people who run around in long underwear and fight crime. This this is a broader topic than Tolkien, please don’t kill it by asking extremely narrow questions about arcane subject material (i.e. “Who made a cameo on page 4 of the 2nd issue of X?” (X being a small press title with a print run of 2000 copies that published 4 issues 23 year ago.)

If you answer a question, you get to ask a question. Please use consecutive numbering for you questions Here’s fifteen realtively basic questions from all over the map to get the ball rolling.

What town in the US is the Original Ninja High School located in?

All guesses on the original question are correct, except for cmkeller’s on #9.

By my count, Bosda still has 3 questions to ask and cmkeller has 2.

Frontal Assault!
We get into War Comics–

1)DC’s Haunted Tank fights it’s way through WW2 with the help of a ghost from US History. Name that spook.

  1. DC’s Enemy Ace flew two models of aircraft, not counting captured ones. Name the models he flew.

  2. YO JOE! In issue #1 of GI Joe, the Joe Team had how many members? Bonus points–name them. Extra bonus–there was an additional “member” added as a joke, who never appeared again. Who was he named for?

A white lightning bolt.

(I knew 2 others that have already been answered… not a good showing overall for me.)

Renumbering Bosda’s as 19 - 22:

  1. J. E. B. Stuart

And Spooky (no “e”) was correct.

Two more questions for me, so:

  1. Name the two coaches at Riverdale High School

  2. Name the two companions of Chris KL-99

  1. Shang-Chi, Master of Kung-Fu!

Coaches Cleats (the fat white one with the big nose), and Clayton (the good looking black guy).

  1. Complete the group: Alice, Piper, Red, Jim and _____? (Ignoring the various pets, living weapons and nuisance tagalongs the rest of the group have.)

Pinnochio, I presume. Though there’s the new French gal…

Quagmire, USA.

Correct

OBJECTION! There are 3 coaches, including the girls’.

Correct!

Yes, Pinnochio. I haven’t got the new issue, yet, so, as far as I’m concerned, she’s a nuisance taglong at best, an antagonist at worst.
