There are some places thet help you work out a payment program for the portion of the tuition that you have to pay for yourself. Check out http://www.amsweb.com . They can help you apply for loans, and offer an interest free payment plan for the rest. The payment plans charge only a small annual fee (usually between $50 and $100). Check out the website.
