Sci fi show ID, pink haired girl and old British AI?

This would probably be in syndication on a local broadcast station in Houston in the early 2000s thereabouts.

It seemed to be ship based and the sets were VERY dark(probably to hide the crappy sets) and production values were low. There was a male space rogue/pirate possibly with an eye patch, along with the teenage girl with pink hair and the British accented ship’s computer/AI(played by an old man).

The tone was very tongue in cheek, seemed to be half humor half sci fi.

It is not Lexx, although the production values and tone were similar.:stuck_out_tongue:

The pink haired girls sounds like themoonbase staffers on the old UFO series, a Gerry Anderson live-action bit. The hair was more purple than pink, but tell me what you think.

Heh. I came in to say Lexx, although Zev/Xev didn’t have pink hair.

Farscape?

I can’t open it at work, but http://space1970.blogspot.com/ may help you (or at least provoke attacks of misty-eyed nostalgia).

(I went to the 1970s because my touchstone for bad TV SF is Starlost.)

No, it’s “Star Hunter,” a Canadian show.

Big fan here and I rather doubt it. I can kind of warp everything to meet his requirements, but a pink-haired teenager does not work. Even Jool would not fit that.

And personally, I thought the production level was pretty good on Farscape.

Something makes me think you’re talking about the original Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Any of these pics ring a bell? Apart from the pink hair, everything else seems to fit.

Another vote for Starhunter. Early 2000s syndication fits. Space rogue, pink haired chick, crappy sets all check. Here’s a pic of the AI.

Is that Colin Mochrie?

Well if it is, it’s a mockery of Colin Mochrie!

Lazytown?

Can’t believe I might actually be quick enough to answer one of these, but it sounds like it may be [Space Pirates](http:// Space Pirate - Wikipedia). Theme tune, beautifully, is, of course… ‘na na na na na na Space Pirates’. It’s a fairly current children’s tv show on the preschool channel in the UK.

The timing’s a bit off though, and it isn’t really sci-fi.

That must be a later Carravagio.
Here is the original one: http://www.photopoo.com/caravag.jpg

WOW! I’ve been looking for this show for a few years now, and all I could remember was the name of Carravagio. Thanks!

Well, OP?
Was it any of these?

Sorry about the delay in posting but it is definitely Starhunter  Thanks guys!
