Science based treatments for Focal Dystonia.

I am not seeking medical advice. I’d just like to hear about developments in the field from people who read and understand medical journals.

There is a thread on the Yahoo Classical Guitar List about focal dystonia at present, and there are a lot of questionable treatments being mentioned, such as Emotional Freedom Therapy.

It has got me wondering, what treatments are there for FD that have a basis in science?

That’s a broad topic. This is a fair overview of the subject of dystonia as seen by mainstream medicine at present: Dystonias: Practice Essentials, Classification, Common Types of Dystonias

It’s got lots of good references attached.

Many thanks for that - I’ve been going through and passing on many useful links.
