Not even a little hank-spanky in the bedroom?
Not even a little hanky-spanky in the bedroom?
I’m not answering that. Twice.
He left out a ‘y’ in the first iteration.
What the… I haven´t feel nauseated by a video in a long while; this thing is disgusting. One clear thing is that the three guys like to rejoice on their “superiority” and “enlightment”, idiots.
The tall guy was pretty funny. He kept having periodic bouts of actually thinking about what the cameraman was saying, before shaking it off and returning to his diatribe.
Good girl. Stick to the story, no one will ever know.
Hmmm . . . badly put. (And yes, I was aware that the two of you are “spliced.”)
I was referring to “Eternal Salvation” (whatever that is) rather than your corporeal well being. When the Xists arrive, they will be far more interested in your level of Slack.
I sincerely believe that the short dude in the white shirt who kept sticking his face right into the camera really deserved a severe ass-whipping.
The main reason I posted this link was because of what it beautifully illustrates. Clams are taught that the proper response to any criticism or questions is to attack. Right away! Repeatedly! The big organization does so with lawyers and smear campaigns. These three little clams are a textbook example of this-they see a guy who doesn’t like Scientology with a camera and they launch immediately into attack mode “You beat your wife! You’re a child molester! What’s your crime?etc, etc…” before he even does anything. What’s funny is that they are so bad at it. Their idea of an attack is about what I’d expect from a clever 13 year old. The thing is, if you know this is what they are taught, what they are doing becomes as obvious as an inexperienced car salesman determinedly answering every question with a question because that is what he was told to do, and about twice as pathetic.

Okay, I’m gonna be the wet blanket, devils advocate hat wearin’ mutha fucka here. . .
I agree that the subjects of the video were complete tools, not because they are Scientologists, but because they came off as, ya know, stupid. Belieeeeeeve me, I have no love (or particular interest for that matter) for the Church, but as someone who lives in the midst of their Mother Ship, I have yet to feel or see the effects of their screed.
Sure, I’ve read the same stuff you all have, in fact I’d be willing to bet I’ve read a lot more, being in the fallout zone. I guess I don’t understand how anyone sees them as anything more than a joke. Granted, they’re a multi-million dollar joke, but does anyone really find them threatening? The Lisa McPherson(sp) case aside, do they really have that much impact on anyone?Lest you think I’m defending them, my feelings are truly neutral. I’ve walked among their minions for years and the actual, work-a-day practitioners ( as opposed to the publicity sucking celebrities) have never made a blip on my radar.
No doubt these are some twisted (in my opinion) individdles; but why do people find them so threatening?
Well, did you watch the video?
Their beliefs are just sort of wacky. But the “Church” of Scientology has been documented quite a lot of times as viciously treating those it considers enemies (as well as its own members, as with Lisa MacPherson.) It’s a religious movement that teaches things that are blatantly counterfactual, which is a bit creepy to anyone who places any value on the truth. And they attempt to use lawsuits and other, less savory tactics (like the picketing of people’s houses referenced in the video) in order to ruthlessly suppress any speech against them. And they victimize their members by convincing them to part with tens of thousands of dollars in exchange for nothing. What the fuck is not to be frightened of?

NOTE: THIS IS IN JEST. I DO NOT BEAT MY HUSBAND, AND HE DOES NOT BEAT ME.
Must be some mighty boring checkers games at your place.

I’m not trying to start a fight here, but I’m a little unclear on exactly why we’re putting this aside.

OttoDaFe?
What’s an OttoDaFe?

OttoDaFe?
What’s an OttoDaFe?
It’s what you oughtn’t to do but you do anyway.
I feel dirty now.
The question remains: Was Weirdave beating his wife while watching this video?
and was their popcorn involved?
I’m surprised Tom Cruise didn’t show up for some screen time.

No. The neighbors’ popcorn was, though, but just as an enturbulation.

I just mean that as heinous as that whole incident was, it’s pretty old news. Is that still the main thing they’re villified for?
And to Excalibre, of course I watched the video; it was the biggest laugh I had all day. I guess my reaction to them is just that; laughter.
That video, I mean…Wow. Pathetic doesn’t even begin to describe those guys.
