Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo

Thank you to Scott for an excellent report on Scooby Doo. http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mscooby.html Thoroughly researched, well-presented, an A+ all around.

But, Scott, dear, you DO need to get a life, you know.

(There’s hash in Scooby Snacks? )

Gee, I didn’t know Don Messick was dead. Heck-a-doody. He was Papa Smurf!

Scooby-Doo’s parents, Daddy-Doo and Mommy-Doo have appeared several times in the various series. Each time their appearance has been different.

Better check your local listings, though. Bugs bit the dust at ABC this last year and is now at Cartoon Network only.

Scott does too have a life! He also collects toys.

Hey, what about Dyno-Mutt: Dog Wonder from Blue Falcon Fame? I know that Scooby and the gang visited the show a couple of times, but were they related or just good friends? And while we’re at it: Was Dyno Mutt a robot dog or a normal dog rebuilt by Blue Falcon? And whose voice did Mickey Dolenz do?

It’s obvious, they were all cloned from the same Alpha Dog. All of them!! Scooby-Doo, Scrappy-Doo, Dyno-Mutt, Scooby-Dum, hell even Scooby-Dee (of course along with some gender tinkering).

What about the dog in Speed Buggy? Or the dog in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kids that Mr Socrates was allergic to?

That is, if there was a dog in Speed Buggy. I can’t remember now.

As soon as Scott gets back from the holidays, I bet he can answer all these questions! Unless he has a date or something.

In this I listed most of Scooby’s relatives and some other scholarly speculation about these remarkable intelligent dogs. You might want to check it out.
