Scott Sigler's podcast novels: Earthcore, Ancestor

Is anyone else listening to these?

They’re trashy sci-fi/horror novels, not what you’d call highbrow entertainment, but very amusing for what they are. They’re written and performed by this Scott Sigler guy. IMHO, he has a lot of talent for making his characters’ voices and accents distinct and recognizable. He does an episode comprising a few chapters every week or so. The pacing is pretty good—it keeps up the momentum and is very suspenseful. There’s a good bit of techy/sciency stuff. It seems like he does his homework, but it’s out of my field, so I can’t vouch for the veracity of it.

I came late to Earthcore, and still have a few chapters to listen to (so no spoilers, please!). I’m inordinately pleased to get in on the Ancestor ground floor, though waiting for a week is going to be agonizing, since I’ve been spoiled by getting the next Earthcore episode as soon as I can get back to my computer to download it.
