Screen Pops

I have an unusual question regarding Internet Explorer screen pops. We have a software solution at my call center that will pop open an IE window that shows the caller’s phone number and other info. Unfortunately it tends to use an already open window which has caused problems when the phone guys are trying to work online (tracking packages etc).

I’m wondering if there is some kind of user preference that controls the behavior of IE windows and stealing the focus. I’m thinking this is most likely a function controlled by the HTML which pops the window but I’m not really sure. Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

Go to Tools>Internet Options, Advance Tab, then UNcheck “Reuse Windows when launching shortcuts.” That may do the trick.

Joey you’re awesome, that did the trick! Everyone in customer service says Thanks!
