Good luck. We are all counting on you.
Give it time.
I keed, I keed
And don’t call me Shirley!
I was upgraded (against my wishes) about 6 weeks ago. I’ve sort of gotten used to it, but the latest version of the solitaire games stunk, absolutely stunk. Fortunately, someone on the board was able to tell me how to get the Win 7 games and modify them to work under Win 10. I tried to search for the thread but when I searched for Win 7 games, the TSD search engine informed me that Win and 7 were too short to be included in a search and it searched for games. Lot’s of luck with that.
I did it on Monday, took about 2.5 hours including download. The only issue was that I had to manually uninstall the drivers for my USB Wifi adapter let Windows detect & reinstall them. Everything else was fine.
I made the decision quite a while back I’m not upgrading. Windows 7 Pro continues to work just fine with mine. My laptops are eight years old and from prior experience I know there would be unsolvable issues.
On the bright side, I’m looking to buy new ones with Windows 10, but automatic downgrade rights to Windows 7. Just in case …
You will now appreciate Windows 7 like never before.
Keep us posted on life on Win 10.
I’ve been getting some internet connectivity problems. I reinstalled a driver, wiggled some bits, did a magic dance, and it seems to be working now. I’m not even sure if it was a Windows 10 related problem in the first place, my connection was also acting kooky a few days back when I was still on Win 8. That might have been a different issue, though.
Gee, isn’t this exiting?
I like 10, once I figured out the secret way to turn off the automatic updates.
I’m actually off to by a new system with Win 10 today. I need a system upgrade and since I’m buying from Costco I’ll have a 90 day test drive no matter what. I’ll check back in…
win 10 is ok but I found out ms edge isn’t separate like ie was because something erased it off my win 10 and I cant reinstall it it seems …
You may want to file a bug report about your comma key not working.
This is very much my experience, I even did the same house keeping moves with privacy and the start menu.
Only negatives I had so far are:
It uninstalled my firewall (COMODO) saying it was not Windows 10 compatible. It was so I reinstalled it.
My PC feels slightly more sluggish since the upgrade. Could be my imagination. It’s an older PC but an i7 with 12 gigs of ram so should handle Win10 fine.
Had to reinstall my MP3 playing program. I still had the executable and just ran it. Everything in the player was the same as before, even my recently played list.
ETA: you get a month to revert back if anyone out there hates the upgrade.
I already upgraded to windows 10.
