Screw off, Bush!

Thank you, DoctorJ and 3waygeek for assisting in making my point. My point is that those of us who choose to disbelieve in, or at least wonder about, the Judeo-Christian God are ignored by and treated like second-class citizens (or non-citizens in the case of Bush Sr.) by those who are supposed to represent all of the American people.

While perhaps a lame rant, I still feel that it’s an important issue.

Well stofsky you can I can agree about one thing. It is a lame rant.

I don’t get your point with regards to Bush’s speech. And, since you aren’t going to answer my question I guess I never will.

I guess a lame rant doesn’t have to make sense either.

In Conceivable, I thought I did answer your question, if not DoctorJ or 3waygeek. Bush implied in his statement that we only have the freedom to worship an Almighty, not that there are other options available under our freedoms. If you’ll take a moment to look at some of the noisier fundies out there, there is a discussion on the far right that the First Amendment only applies to freedom of worship, but not freedom from worship.

But since you obviously missed it, I’ll quote DoctorJ:
