So help me understand this, she’s withdrawing the suit but he still has to take the DNA test? And they’re going to keep the results private? How is THAT going to clear his name?

Apparently he is going to “voluntarily” take the DNA test. though it may be that the lawyers agreed to this as a condition of dropping the lawsuit. If it turn out he is the father, they can either negotiate child support, or file another suit.
The people sending her death threats over this are as pathetic as she is.

If she were at all observant, she’d have noticed that Selena kid got death threats just for being suspected of dating him. It doesn’t take much brain power to figure she’d be in for just as much, if not worse, for sleeping with him, etc.

This is getting stranger and stranger.
The girl may be delusional or wants attention by accusing Bieber. But I can’t imagine the new lawyers representing her unless there’s a grain of truth somewhere. Their time is valuable and they must see a chance to get paid. The girl is on welfare and she can’t pay them squat.
Can’t imagine why Bieber would settle and pay anything unless he’s worried about the dna test. We may never know if it’s all done in secret.

I don’t think even a grain of truth is necessary. I would assume she will be making enough from appearances, interviews and photoshoots to pay lawyers, and maybe even have a little money left for herself. Plus she can probably parlay her 15 seconds of fame into a spot on a reality show.
Some lawyers take on high-visibility files for the publicity – free advertising. As far as their time being valuable goes, it may or may not be that valuable, and there is not reason for many hours to have been put into the case so far – a few clerk hours to draft the claim and a review and a couple of letters by a laywer would be about it. This is the sort of thing that a low income person and a duty counsel/facilitator could put together and have out the door in half an hour to an hour. Two lawyers and a lot of time? Just smoke.
She keeps insisting she has valid proof, which they must believe for some reason, but as already mentioned the only thing that can prove he’s the father is the DNA test. Any other thing she could come up with (and speculating what those things might be gives me the willies) would only be proof that they had sex. At this point we haven’t even seen a PICTURE of them together. Wouldn’t that be splashed all over the place the minute he said he’d never even met her?
