Screw this, I'm goin' home!

Okay, enough is enough! I had to use my wife’s car to jump-start my pickup at 5:00 a.m. so I could drive to work. It was minus 13 degrees F. I got to work and the heat was out – the only thing keeping the studios warm is the heat coming off of the computers, and the studio-transmitter link that is, fortunately, in the center of the building. Still, it’s dropped from 60 degrees when I came in to about 52 degrees and still dropping.

A plumber visited us yesterday to unclog the sewer. It worked fine when he left; this morning, not so much. We don’t know if he just didn’t get the job done right or if something froze in the line overnight. At any rate, the toilet is out of order.

A computer that schedules non-commercial programming content failed to reboot overnight so the jingles and station liners we spent a week installing aren’t playing – the new station branding we rolled out last week has vanished, and the computer won’t reboot.

Did’ja ever have one of those days? This is gonna’ be one of those days.
