scruples?

Where else do we keep our scruples? They say we keep them in our soul unless we sold our soul then we keep them in our wallet and work in the advertising business. But where else do we keep our ethics, morals and principles? Canada? The 50s? Are they still occupying Wall St.? Where else should I look?

In your shoes. Quote:
scruple (n.)
“moral misgiving, pang of conscience,” late 14c., from Old French scrupule (14c.), from Latin scrupulus “uneasiness, anxiety, pricking of conscience,” literally “small sharp stone,” diminutive of scrupus “sharp stone or pebble,” used figuratively by Cicero for a cause of uneasiness or anxiety, probably from the notion of having a pebble in one’s shoe. A more literal Latin sense of “small unit of weight or measurement” is attested in English from late 14c.

Look here.

Since this is not a factual question, let’s move it to IMHO.

Pretty sure all thought processes are in the brain.

They should always be kept in the refrigerator when not in use. If you acquire your scruples in large quantities (like when there’s a sale), you can freeze them too, but they eventually will degrade due to freezer burn.

When you encounter bankers, lawyers, etc., who seem to be scruple-challenged, it’s possible that they were just kept in the freezer too long.

I keep mine in my screen name.
