SDMB Asian Expat Contingent, let's hear a shout-out

I suck at it. Does this mean our paths shall never cross?

I believe he’s in Shanghai.

And then there’s Paul in Saudi. Saudi Arabia is in western Asia.

Isn’t he in Frederick, Maryland now?

Ah, that’s right. But just temporarily, isn’t it? He’ll be back in Saudi.

Can I join in, as a soon to be expat in KL ,Malaysia land of rendang and rubber. Currently winding down here and should be there mid next month.

Welcome, NaturalBlondChap.

I’ve always enjoyed Kuala Lumpur. It’s a nice city. I’m sure you’ll like it there.

Checking in from a coffee house in Chinatown!

We lived there for a couple of years back in 02 03, we loved it, and some of the most awesome mountain biking there is, is to be had through the plantations.
When we were there we craved good steaks and changing seasons. Now we are here all I can think of is beef rendang, other assorted asian/chineese/indian food (Ok i can leave the desserts) and permanent shorts weather.

What are you guys missing from home and what from that way would they need to claw from your cold dead hands.

A decent pizza.

Logical management principles.

A little late to the party, but checking in from Shinjuku, Tokyo. (1:18pm Thursday local time)

I’m in Michigan, but spent two years in Tianjin, China, where it is not 12:40 p.m.!

Yo!

No expats in India !

Hey, India is not that bad

Not technically an expat, but I’m in Okinawa. Konichiwa.

Why wouldn’t you be considered an expat?

I also had Internet problems this week, but am (as the kids say) in the house.

Checking in from Shanghai, although I’ll be in Taipei and Hong Kong next week. Taking the ‘direct’ flight from Shanghai to Taipei Sungshan airport.

That’s wild. Coming here on biz?

Maybe she’s military? Are military on assignment considered expats? Or is it only drunken layabouts like me?
