Michael Bush, touchdown vulture. Matt Forte with 2.6 fantasy points this week.
I was down like 80-0 before Sunday even started.
Back down to second place. Knew it couldn’t last. Not that it would have mattered, and but I didn’t have time to prowl the free agents and review match ups prime for exploiting.
I can’t catch a break in this league this year.
First Fred Jackson is my RB2, goes out for a month, hasn’t quite been right since. Traded for CJ Spiller, who was doing amazingly, who then promptly got injured and went out for a month - just starting to get back on track. Traded for Amendola, who then got injured for a month. Drafted Hakeem Nicks who hasn’t been healthy all season. Drafted Pierre Garcon, who has been healthy in 2 games this season. Richardson has been pretty banged up although not enough to complain about. Jeremy Maclin has been dealing with injury issues all season. And McGahee went on IR.
Despite my team being a walking MASH unit, I’ve still scored as many points as the guy in third place. Third highest score this week, another loss. 4-8. Ugh.
And my team, full of wasted high draft picks on underachievers (Larry Fitzgerald, LeSean McCoy, Miles Austin, Stephen Jackson, Steve Smith, Phillip Rivers) has the fewest total points (but just 30 total points behind you), and is also 4-8. Ahhhhh, fantasy football, you evil bitch goddess.
Don’t knock that guy in third place. Just last week, he was in sole possession of first place.
And don’t get me started on Fitzgerald, who along with G. Jennings, A. Hernandez, and MJD were supposed to carry another of my fantasy teams. Guess how well that worked.
From 1st to 6th in two weeks. By the end of next week, I might even be out of the Consolation Bowl.
Court Jesters is in the playoffs. Varlos needs to continue to beat Jules and also score another 12.1 points tonight to beat Omni in a tiebreaker. He has Schaub, Andre Johnson, and Gostkowski to do it with, against Jules Foster and Hernandez, so it’s likely but it’s still up in the air.
Assuming the phone app is properly updated for points (and that is a big assumption as it currently says I didn’t make the playoffs), I’m 9th out of 10 in points yet still had a third place record. I must’ve played most teams on their off weeks.
I’m a week late but if anyone wants to discuss the fantasy playoffs in general or the SDMB league playoffs, I started this thread.
Well, because it makes absolutely no sense, I’m very likely going to lose in the championship. Despite being a 30+ point favorite. My team is literally vomiting away it’s chances (thanks Arian!).
A prompt 8 points by Green and Bryant before their games ended and a Chicago Defensive TD sure helped make it look better. But with two RBs going for Court Jesters, it’s going to be very, very close.
SF is behind early, and I needed a HUGE game from Gore. Bryant and the Chicago DEF more than covered for Foster.
Congrats Jules.
Thanks! It was scary just about the entire time.
I might post a season/draft review if I get some time over the next couple days.
