Evil Monkey and I have been within 5 points of each other the entire damn day. Now it’s tied with me having Rivers and James Jones and him having Maclin and Sims-Walker. Nail biter.
I’m using stat tracker now. I couldn’t try earlier since I was out. Works fine.
Btw, does anyone know just how shitty it is trying to guess performances between Bo Scaife and Tony Scheffler? Scheffler put up 15 today…

If I manage to squeeze one out and it looks like Varlos might lose, that’d put me in first. And then Varlos could be killed by what happened to me last year - put up 120 points per game and lead the league in scoring but have everyone else have their freakish once-a-season 150 point game against you.
I know I’m making excuses for my team being generally weak and shallow, but I hate seeing that one breakout performance every week against me, while all of my players plod on to grab just about what’s expected of them. My opponents have now had:
Wk 1 (Evil Monkey): Arian Foster
-Projected: 14.40
-Earned: 42.30
Yes, I still lost by more than the 27.9 difference, but it would have at least made it sporting!
Wk 2 (Curry Porkrinds): Aaron Rodgers
-Projected: 17.98
-Earned: 28.75
Those 11 points or so would have pretty well covered the gap. It was a good game, nobody stood out very far, I really can’t begrudge that one.
Wk 3 (Hey There Fancypants): Michael Vick
-Projected: 19.32
-Earned: 34.35
The week has yet to end, but it’ll take a miracle to win this one. Without having to make up an extra 15 points, it’d only take a particularly good pass or two in tonight’s late game.
Is it so much to ask that SOMEBODY light up at least one of these weeks for my team?
SON OF A BITCH! I had my game locked up with like 15 seconds left to go on the last game of the afternoon, ahead by a point. Then Rivers throws an int on the last play of the game which was enough to put me back below Evil Monkey.
Now I need James Jones to score a point in the MNF game. As the 4th receiving option on that team, who knows if he will.
If I lose this game I’m gonna burn the motherfucker down.

Frosted Glass got so lucky this week - he scored 75 points, which is the lowest score except for… the guy he played, Court Jesters, who has half a team. If he knocks someone out of the playoffs by a win, that person is getting hosed 
It’s crazy what the bye weeks can start doing in this league. People will struggle to fill up rosters and in some cases they’ll have to just leave empty spots.
As far as I was concerned on Sunday, I was definitely going to lose. I love this league because every week is nuts and who you start makes a huge difference. Luck never hurt anyone (well not me at least).
Well, that’s true, but in your case it isn’t that so much as that we have 1 guy who essentially isn’t really fielding a team and he’s going lose no matter what. Some weeks that won’t really matter because the guy playing him will score 130 points and would’ve beat a team anyway … but some weeks will be like you, where you’d have definitely lost if not having been lucky enough to get the free win that week.
Which is screwy for league balance - a little more than half of the league is going to get that free win, and half isn’t, and one division is playing one man short.

I’d consider moving Jahvid Best for an elite receiver, Jamaal Charles for a very good one, or Johnathan stewart for a… good one. Throw me some offers.
Edit: Jahvid Best as the third scoring RB might be too good for just a receiver, so maybe I’d need a TE swap or some other type of minor upgrade to go with it. Or I guess FAAB dollars. Anyway make offers and we’ll go from there.
Ellis Dee wrote a cool utility to track stats from the SDMB fantasy football leagues. In its current form, it figures out what your total score would’ve been from your best possible roster. This is labelled as the GM grade - it’s a sign that you’re able to put talent on your roster. The second grade is how many points did your actual roster score compared to your best possible roster, as a percentage, and that’s the head coach grade, which rates how good you are at picking who to start.
The head coach numbers won’t be as varied in this league as it is in the other leagues, both because our benches are so short, and the league is so deep that chances are that anyone is a bench player (and not starting) isn’t in a position to put up a big day which beats the starters all that often.
We’re also taking suggestions on what else we can do with the app. Since we’re going to have all the data for our leagues there, we could do any sort of analysis or cross-league comparison so we’re trying to brainstorm up ways to make the data interesting. If you have a suggestion reply to that post.

Well, I may be 1-2, but I faced the person with the highest GM score for the weeks I lost at least.
Makes sense. Even still, VarlosZ hitting 100% three weeks in a row is pretty impressive.
The spread on these scores is pretty nuts, which I guess is exactly what you’d expect from such a large league.
