Everyone likes playing head to head because it’s more interesting from week to week, but it’s obviously not as fair as just a straight points competition. But it’s easy to see how the league would shake out if we were indeed playing a straight points league, so every once in a while I like to sort the rankings by score to see how we’d turn out in that case. Ellis Dee put that function into his program so I don’t have to do it manually, thanks.

I decided to not pick up a bye week defense this week. Carolina was the only one available that didn’t have negative points for the year and I didn’t like their matchup.

Oh man, fuck me. I was sneaking up on Hey There Fancypants, behind by 7 points with Rivers still playing. It was looking like I might have a shot, for you see the only QBs he had on his roster were Cutler (bye) and Tavaris Jackson. So it’s looking like I have a shot, and right then… I see Tavaris Jackson throws a pass TD out of nowhere.
I am crossing my fingers, hoping that Manning/Garcon don’t put up numbers this week. I would like to win one.
Troy Smith really came through big this week for me. I’m done with stupid shonn Greene. Never thought I’d see the day that Tomlinson came back to relevance. I think I may go back to my double tight end set.

If Matt Schaub and Reggie Wayne have good nights, i’m in with a shot. Those two guys need to score 10 points more than Jacoby Jones and Jacob Tamme.
Essentially, i need to hope that Schaub has a big night, but that he throws most of his balls to Andre Johnson. Which would also help me in my other FF league, where i need just a few points from Johnson to win this week.
Varlos needs 40 out of Addai (is he even playing?) and Andre Johnson to beat Sizzurp Sippers. The mighty, unbeatable Varlos who was going to coast to the #1 seed! :). Looking at 8th place unless those two put up some points tonight.
Not Sure has a shot against Court Jesters if Manning and Garcon can combine for 25 points plus whatever Steve Slaton and Joel Dressen put up tonight… which won’t be much. But I’d like to repeat that I appreciate Court Jesters trying to build a team from scraps. I’m rooting for him to get some wins. He’s actually going to outscore a decent few people in the league this week - I guess it was the 6 team bye, but a lot of the scores this week are just sad.
Return of Ryan Leaf has to make up 9 points plus the score of Jacob Tomme and Jacoby Jones with Schaub and Wayne against Garcon’s cedillia. I’m rooting for him, because it’s the only way I can stay in first place.
And, of course, because Return of Ryan Leaf is an eminently likable dude. 
Let’s not get carried away.
And, of course, they put up over 30 points. Lost both my SDMB leagues on Monday night.

So I lead this league in scoring last year, and so far I’m doing it again this year. Different draft types and a league of 20 people - that’s pretty impressive, right?
I’m impressed. Your record is worlds better than last year though. Your matchups have turned out the way they should have.
I’m just happy to be .500 this season. I have a pretty weak WR selection but I think with a little tweaking here and there I should be able to keep my head above water long enough to make a little noise.
Yeah, last year I got as hosed as you possibly can in a head to head format. I lead the league in scoring, but also lead the league in a huge margin in points against - every team would have their random 140 point offensive explosion the week they played me. Ended up having the highest score and missing the 8 man playoffs.
In fact, not only did I miss the playoffs, but I finished 15th! With the best score!
