To make this matchup even worse for me, Arrelious Benn is having concussion issues and may not play on Saturday. This leaves me with the tantalizing choices of John Kuhn, Ricky Williams, or Joel Dreessen (who sat out practice with a knee injury but is expected to play). I “worked” too hard to get to this point to get eliminated this week. Someone on my team had better step up. And if Michael Bush, whom I am facing in two leagues, stubs his toe on the first play from scrimmage and doesn’t return, all’s the better.
Fuck, I forgot to check in before Saturday’s game. If I lose this game by the 3-5 points one of my other options will likely get, I’ll be supremely pissed at myself.
Fuck, my situation was looking managable until Reggie Bush rips off a fucking 80 yard TD.
Edit: Stat tracker isn’t showing a TD now, but still 200 yards. WTF?
As of now
Scissor Me Timbers has a 13 point lead with Lee Evans/Ravens D to play. I have Brady, Maclin, Hillis, Chargers D.
Court Jesters has a 40 point lead with Mathews left to play. Hamlet has Decker, Andre Roberts, Gore, Bush, 49ers D.
SenorBeef has a 22 point lead and the Chargers D against Munch’s Lee Evans and Ravens D. Fortunately for me Lee Evans has like 19 points this season. Watch him double his seasonal score in one game.
Hamlet has a 13 point lead, Gore, and 49ers D against Court Jester’s Matthews.
The combined score of Lee Evans and the Baltimore defense was… -6.
Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef) defeats Scissor Me Timbers (Munch) 109.60 to 67.72. The lowest seed makes the championship game… with no McFadden.
Court Jesters (d_odds) leads Hamlet by 10 points, but Hamlet has Gore and the 49ers D left to play.
Well that was a disappointing playoff appearance for me - my worst performance all season. I hate losing my top pick going into the playoffs, but I don’t think he would have helped with that stinker of a performance.
To be fair, I’ve been down Darren McFadden too, only for much longer. So it was even in that regard.
Well, that’s also why I described my day as “a stinker of a performance”. I should have gone with Freeman (was hoping for a boom/bust play with Yates, and got the bust) - but I got tons of terrible matchups. I outscored you by 300 points this season - I was at least hoping for something close.
The championship game features Hamlet and I.
It would be great if McFadden could return this week - both because I have him and Hamlet has Michael Bush, but it’s not looking great.
I fully expect Jerome Simpson to have 100+ and a couple TD’s, with Hillis running for just 26 yards, but 3 td’s. My confidence is shaken.
What a stinker of a week for me. Bad time of the season to roll snake-eyes with my team. Big time studs and duds game for me.
Arian Foster 20+ points
Ben Tate -.1
If I had known Ingram was going to miss this week I probably would’ve started Ivory in place of Tate, damn.
McFadden is out, of course. Wish they’d have just IRed him 8 weeks ago or whatever it was so I could’ve used the roster spot. Bush will put up 200 points I’m sure.
My only real roster decision this week is Jerome Simpson vs Golden Tate, so at least I don’t have anything to agonize over I guess.
I’m not optimistic about this week. I think your team is underprojected if anything.
I’m starting an injured Stevie Johnson, a suddenly irrelevant WR with a QB who can’t throw, and a third option WR on a defense first team. I’m not so amused by my WR crew. Just as I said at and right after the draft, I think my team will depend on Gore and Turner. I think that’ll hold true this week. But going against Brady, a hot Colston, and a revitalized Maclin makes me very nervous indeed.
Well at the very least, let’s pat each other on the back and share in the fact that we’re so much better than everyone else to even be here.

Your advantage at RB overshadows my advantage at WR, although there’s always a chance one of my WRs goes wild. Brady put up 500 yards against Miami last time, but … not very likely this time.
Woo, Gresham TD, he already exceeded my expectations.
Tom Brady’s total lack of anything is killing me in two championship games. Also, Jerome Simpson on my bench
On the plus side, no one on your side is doing any good either, except Manning - who I knew was massively underprojected. He was projected for 12 points and he’s already got that at the half. But your big gun RBs aren’t playing yet. So pretty close so far.
Yeah, but Manning has hardly done anything all day. Half his points came from a 99-yard touchdown pass that had almost nothing to do with Manning, and was the result of a fabulous play by the receiver. It should have been a simple 11-yard gain, not a 99-yard TD.
And what the hell is with New England and Miami? The Dolphins always give the Patriots a tough time.
