I’d be happy to co-commish if needed. I’m so happy that I can attend the draft this year and hopefully my work schedule will get me of this hated night shift by next season.
I made you commissioner and set myself as co-commish – I can still do most of the commissioner stuff that way, except for changing commissioner and a few other things. Thanks for taking it on!
Has anyone used the app to draft this year, I’m going to be in a pool tournament tonight, so I’d rather just have my iPad at the bar if at all possible.
Actually, it was me (The Gift Baskets) that you made commissioner. I did offer earlier in the thread, and I did it for a few years probably 6-8 years ago, so I’m OK with it. If you really meant it to be dalej42 instead of me, I will switch it to him and then cry inconsolably into my beer.
Ack. Today’s been like that – everything I touch goes sideways. I don’t think it’s crucial to get it sorted immediately, but we can all be co-commishes or whatever you guys think best. I’m not inclined to mess with it with under 45 minutes to go before the draft unless someone else feels strongly that we should.
Last day of the season, I’ve been seesawing between 4th and 5th place, never quite able to crack the top 3. Congrats to Rackensack and Irvington, clearly the best two teams this year. And, it’s close enough that there may be some drama at the end.
Hoping 17th or 18th time’s a charm. Still a little too tight for me to rest easy through today’s games, but looking at the categories and relative positions I should be able to hold on. Gonna come down to SBs and Holds today, and I’m already maxxed out at several positions while Connor’s only maxxed out at one. He could conceivably pick up 1.5 pts in SB and I could gain from .5 to 1.5 (or potentially lose .5) in Holds, so I’m thinking worst case is that I finish up by 1 point, but my math and/or analysis of the situation could be off. A disastrous showing by all the relief pitchers in my lineup today could cost me another point in ERA and/or WHIP – I doubt I have enough guys playing to move OBP or SLG up any so not much chance to gain there, but fortunately I doubt I’ll lose points on those either.
Been fun juggling things around all year to try to stay on top or at least in contention. Pretty much lapped the field in total roster moves again this year. And for those who worry about losing the league during the draft, note that I went into the last week of the season with only 5 players left on my roster that I drafted (1st, 2nd, 5th, 11th, and 13th rounders). Three of those I dropped in the last week or so of the season after there wasn’t anything more they could do to help me, so I finished with only two players I drafted.
