Hi folks -
I notice Eva Luna and Mikie are choristers, and so am I. Anyone else out there?
What’s our voice part mix? I’m a sop (first always thank you, love them top As. And Bs. And the very rare C.)

Bass. Way the hell down there.
When I was singing regularly, which was several years back, the low C (two octaves down) was towards the bottom of my range. Nowadays, though, it’s closer to the G.
I sang first soprano in high school, but the weight of the years forced my voice down to alto. I suppose I could manage Soprano two in a pinch.
Me too.
I can hit a low E or so on a good day, but I can also get up to an A or so above middle C, so I’m versatile.
I am usually an alto, but if I warm up enough, I can pull off a soprano. The soprano also depends on what key the song is in. I have a pretty wide range of vocalness. Sometimes, and I stress sometimes, I can manage a tenor, but once again, it depends on the key.
I don’t sing anymore, but sang bass when I did.
Just had a choir concert Saturday night, actually. I’m a music major, so I have to be in it. I’m a Soprano II.
Mezzo here - depending on where I’m needed, I’m first soprano or second soprano. (I also was a music major - go Anteres!!)
Obviously, spelling is not my strong suit.
Sorry about that, AntaresJB.
Soprano in a professional choir.
Damn, as usual we’re short of tenors. Only one alto so far, too. Anyone know any pieces for sopI/II and bassI/II ??
Ginger, who do you sing with? I’m purely amateur, this is my current choir: it’s called SCUNA.
Tenor in a choir, but a baritone for solo purposes.
I’m a second soprano and belong to a community choir and a church choir. I’d say my singing ability is about average, but I love it – it’s one of the few things I do that’s just for me.
I always dreamed of coloratura, but I will be quite content to be another alto.
Over the last two years or so I had completely lost my singing voice. I couldn’t sustain a note or count on hitting the right one. I thought it was because of my age (sixty) and lack of practice.
After having some difficulty swallowing pills, I had to have a procedure done to loosen up the opening to my esophagus three weeks ago.
Last night, as I typed away here, whining about something at SDMB, I realized that I was absentmindedly singing. SINGING? MOI?!!
Of course my range is about an octave…
Natural alto, baby. I almost never can sing melody, I slip into harmony without realizing it.
I used to sing soprano in high school ( The New Westminstrals, world’s worst name!)
Our teacher was Charlotte Diamond who went on to be a very well known children’s performer.
I pretty much just sing around the house and at parties now.
I used to sing Soprano II in high school but my voice has settled into Alto I.
How about a good old Hallelujah Chorus?
Baritone/Tenor II, and prepping for a concert next weekend. Hurrah!
I, too, am prepping for a concert Mid-November.
Baritone. The hot chocolate of male voices.
And pardon me if stuff is misspelled. I type without my contacts in, and I have bad eyesight.
Tenor.
