I will happily start the nominations with Ender and Crunchy Frog. These two are quite a pair of cutups and I always relish opening a thread started by either of them. Scylla is capabe of some truly hilarious moments (The Chair of Ultimate Power) but his comedy is leavened with some truly serious moments that make him more akin to our board’s bard than it’s clown.
Let’s open up the candidate selection process here. All nominees should submit some wacky material to certify their credentials for the Teeming Millions.
How could you have not mentioned Fenris? and I object to the qualification that ‘serious moments’ would take some one out of the running for the nomination. It is true comedic genius that allows some one to cover a wider range of material.
And thanks for the nominations, but hardygrrl, if you go back and re-read the Halvsie thread, it was Eve’s input that made it funny. Hell, at first people misinterpreted my OP as being serious. Even when I said he only swims in circles.
And blackwell - don’t forget Homer’s acid trip posts. Wow. Made me think I was high just reading them.
I don’t think you could include Scylla who although hilarious seems to me to be one of the clever ones with the bon mot, the cool one everyone wants to be like.

I have to make a confession though. Every single joke I’ve ever made here has been stolen word for word from Laurel and Hardy’s 1919 performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
I’m a fraud, I tell you! A small footed, lactose intolerant, multiple pandiculating, non salubrious fraud to the Nth degree. Throw me in the river, you’ll see I don’t float! I type at 12 WPM, and that’s only because my keyboard doesn’t have the “q” and “x” keys!
I could not keep this charade up for a moment longer. It was time to come 99.44% clean. I cannot, in good conscience, allow anyone to vote for me without this knowledge.
I vote Fenris, on the strength of his Jack Chick parodies if nothing else. Ender, Spoofe, and Homer are all funny as well, but I’m afraid Scylla has ruined his chances with all his lousy philosophical, beautiful, life-affirming posts like this one This is the kind of adult behavior that is totally inappropriate for the post of Class Clown.
I’ll second Fenris just because he is so damn funny, but tracer and Eve fit the bill a bit better. They are both able to be completely irreverent in the most serious GD threads. Getting people to laugh when they aren’t supposed to is a class clown’s bread and butter.
