How weird and sad. Are these being done by the people running the boards, in order to make it look like there are more posters? Or is it people wanting to post somewhere and no knowing what to say?
Based on the previous one and how out of context it is, I’d guess spambot. It searches for posts that contain certain words, and them copies them to other boards. How better to sound like a human than to copy something a human wrote?
Seriously, any human would know that was some sort of game, and not a post for some conspiracy website.
My guess is that people create content for their websites by grabbing stuff from other websites, making it look like their own. They then get paid by the advertisers on their sites (or at least they hope they do: I don’t see how they get much traffic).
For reference, here are reports of previous instances.
Some familiar names here.
At least Hal Briston is expressing his love of new socks, and not his infamous other preference.
Wasn’t able to get a better look at that board while at work but it seems to be legit, unless someone also borrowed Pleonast to set it up.
New Socks is not far off from Ewe Sex.
Yeah, it’s a mafia host site. I didn’t think to look it up. Sorry.
If you play mafia, you realize it takes more than one board, as there are things that some people are allowed to see but not others. Often the moderators even get their own board to discuss the concept of the game, as well as posts made therein. It wouldn’t surprise me if stuff is copied between the different boards.
Looks like I found sheskachan’s cousin.
Definitely some sort of bot here.
At least it’s not the Chicken Board again…
At least Hal Briston isn’t posting as a sock.
I don’t recall posting anything here, either.
More of the same, I’m afraid.
Y’all are just so good you can’t be confined to just one space. Or one reality.
Found another … um … something … with my name attached. Blocked here so I can’t see what.
