Diplomatic pistols at dawn? Or the other kind?
Either way, I am horribly offended and will hereby imagine all your posts spoken in the cartoon character Droopy’s voice!

I don’t have time to play, but I’d love to watch and heckle/commentate,
Just bumping, sounds like we’re coming along nicely…
Please add/remove your name to this:
(Sorry to have not added anyone above but I don’t wanna speak for ya)

If a lot wanna join then of course we can consider world diplomacy; if there are further recuritment issues thne ancient med possible too…
I’d really love a huge world Diplomacy game with a map like this one, but I don’t know if everyone would be willing to commit to showing up to a game that would seriously take months. No-show turns can ruin the game.
Whatever we do, whether it’s world domination or Fraggle Rock, I’m in.
I was the incompetant noob. (not mad Mosier, just owning up to it)
We using the standard map or the 1900 variant(better, IMHO)?
Well, I’ve already gone on record about never playing the Standard map ever again. We did try the Modern map once, but big maps can get bogged down pretty quickly (aside from the civil disorder issue already mentioned-that “Imperial Map” just boggled my mind…). Seriously, the 1900 map fixes almost all of the original errors in the Standard map, I’d recommend checking out the rules linked to, along with the player’s guide at the bottom of the page; if you do decide to go that route and you need a 7th, I’ll come onboard.
Are you soliciting/accepting/grudgingly tolerating/discouraging Diplomacy novices?
I’ve looked over the intro at the site linked earlier, and it seems pretty straightforward operationally.
What is the anticipated time between moves? Several days?
Moves every Tuesday and Friday seems to work best, with 24 hours for retreats and 24 hours for builds…
Actually, Now that I have a real-life big boy job I think I’ll sit this one out. Damn life getting in the way of my fun!
Cheers!
I’m going to pull a Mosier. I’ve got other non-Diplomacy games I have to keep up with and don’t want to take too much on at once. Maybe I’ll make myself available as an alternate down the road.
Any level of experience of level welcome. Probably going for several days between moves - had this experienced a more enthusiastic pickup then I would have tried to see if we could organise a super quick game (e.g. 10/15 minute moves)
Completely mew to the game, but /in.
Assuming that we’re not too late, I’ve added Babale and myself to the list.
I have no idea what this game entails, but if world domination is the aim, then that sounds like my cup of tea.
And I like putting my name on lists.
Be warned:
I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE OR FORM ALLEGIANCES WITH ANYONE.
I WILL SINGLEHANDEDLY POUND YOUR COUNTRIES BACK INTO THE STONE AGE.
That is all.
Have a lovely day,
Snerky.
Well, there’s quite a bit of diplomacy involved. I would rethink your ‘no allegiances’ stance prior to beginning, or you won’t have very much fun at all.
I think ACM is bowing out like a complete wuss, so still need two more!
If we get a few more people signed up, I don’t mind trying my hand at being the Judge if it helps get the game going. I’ve never Judged before, so expect a few bumps along the way…
