I’m Sydney based, but provided my husband is available to look after our daughter, I can always find a reason to go interstate or NZ as necessary (but I ain’t going to Perth for a meeting that only lasts a couple of hours again. Nope, been there, made that mistake. Not that I have anything against Perth, but BOY is it a long, long, way away. From anywhere. In any country.) Brisbane is good for me, as I have inlaws there, and if it is backed up to a weekend the Riverside Markets are just fantastic. (Hint).

Oh, and what Redboss said - no jumping up and down and squealing. Not even if it turns out that a fellow Doper is a long lost friend. Be Australian - tell scurrilous tales about your LLF instead!
Primaflora If you have a partner with you, maybe yours and mine can look after our kids while we Fest? Instead of golf-widows they can be SD-widowers!

I hail from Melbourne though, and I don’t think I’ll be able to make anything in Sydney or Brisbane. 
I’m also from Melbourne. However, my image as a struggling, impoverished student will be shattered if anybody finds out that I’m jetsetting around the country so I’m afraid I’ll be stuck in Melbourne too. Anyway, I’m thinking there is probably at least a dozen Melburnians here (including lurkers) so we maybe able to settle for a Melbourne only get together.
Thanks for the offers of support. I’ve put off doing this testing for so long but now the shit is really hitting the fan and I need to get as much info as I can about the offspring so I can bludgeon the school into submission. But that’s a rant fit for the pit.
I don’t know if I will be travelling alone or with my mother or with Mr Primaflora. The only firm detail is that I will have an 8 yo boy with me so I guess a pub crawl is out of the question - no matter how much I need it ;).
