SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY league: Year Ten

Well I’m going to lose again, third in points this week losing to number two.
Watkins going down is brutal, obviously, but it’s penance for leaving Goff benched.

I have to think at 0-4 I have a virtually no shot at the playoff.

That being said, I’d listen to offers for Goff or Watson. I need a top RB or high draft picks.

I’ll give you my #1 pick for either.

Quick thoughts from Week 4: My two week reign as the highest actual point-getter comes crashing down to earth, Hamlet is starting to look catchable, Beef continues to struggle, and Omni comes out swinging.

Man, I knew it was going to be ugly this week with Hines and Gabriel on the bench… but -10? Yikes. Thank gawd for Beef.

It’s not as fun to be on the bottom. Who could’ve guessed that?

So the draft next year is the inverse of finish standings? Sorry I should probably know this…

You could have just PMed me, I’ve got far too much knowledge of that topic

Mostly.

The first four picks go in reverse order to the teams that finish 12th - 9th. So…

  1. 12th Place
  2. 11th Place
  3. 10th Place
  4. 9th Place

Picks 5 - 8 go to the top finishers in the Consolation Bracket to give them something to play for…

  1. 5th Place
  2. 6th Place
  3. 7th Place
  4. 8th Place

Picks 9 - 12 go to the playoff teams in reverse order…

  1. 4th Place
  2. 3rd Place
  3. 2nd Place
  4. 1st Place / Champion

I can’t believe my team sometimes.

I’m considering sitting Larry Fitzgerald for Donte Moncrief or Ryan Grant.

I totally spaced that I won the consolation bracket last year. Go me!

Projected to lose for the first time this year. Nobody significant on a bye, but almost everyone has a “red” matchup. Still, my team doesn’t look far off last year’s buzzsaw now that Ingram and Winston are coming online, and I don’t think I’ll regret that Cooks trade because the Rams spread the ball so much. Depth is still a problem; my coach ranking is mostly so high because I don’t have many plausible options on my bench.

I know no one seems to have cared, but Miller for Cooks is in the running for the worst trade I’ve seen in this league. If I had known Cooks was available (and my fault for not throwing some offers for around) I’d have given much more than Lamar Miller, and probably others too.

Agreed. Cooks is really coming into his own as a receiver (#13 among all receivers so far this year), and I feel like Lamar Miller is always in danger of losing his job.

But while I’m thinking about receivers, it still kills me that I dropped Golden Tate (#7 this year so far) all the way back in 2012. I never imagined he’d have the career he’s had.

I’d better not lose this week due to a damn kicker. Mason Crosby is snakebit, he’s missed 3 field goals in the first half.

I guess I should be starting Crowell. I don’t know what to do with him. But he’s put up a few big games this year.

Well, I need Vernon Davis (I did a double take that he was still in the league) to get less than ten points to get my first win. Though with the way my year is going it won’t be much surprise when he grabs his second TD in garbage time.
My march to 9-4 starts now!

I guess you have to credit him for sticking around, but Davis has to be high on the list of busts of the last decade… All the times I took him because “this is the year he puts it all together”…

I made a bunch of trade offers before settling on that one, and there were no bites. I should have held out for more, but I was utterly desperate for an RB (Kareem Hunt was my only healthy/non-suspended/active RB, and I didn’t know that Philip Lindsay would pan out quite so well). I also don’t have to worry about the risk of Miller being released or traded, since I already own the Texans’ RB of the future.

Crowell apparently set the Jets all time rushing record on my bench. He never feels good to start, but he’s put up some big numbers - 3 games now with 18+ points.

Anyone want him for a fairly modest price?

And I thank you. Lots of my best guys were waiver wire claims.

My hope is that Washington comes out on fire, they’re coming off a big win two weeks ago, a bye week, and then the extra day for the Monday night game. Plus, it’s agaisnt the Saints so I expect a shootout
