I might lose because I left Brett Favre in on Monday night…wow I am dumb.
Finally.
A win.
Sure it took a big week by migraine inducing Percy Harvin, but I finally got off the schneid. Scored the 3rd most in the league this week … and didn’t lose.
Yippee!!!
So we have 25 roster slots, right? Which means you can have a lot of depth for your team.
But that’s not how I roll.
I have 1 QB on my roster, he’s injured. I have 1 very productive TE and one project. I barely have enough RBs to start. My whole damn team is WRs.
We’re polar opposites.
The only starting WR on my entire roster is Chris Chambers. This week my two highest-projected WRs are Mario Manningham and Brad Smith. Oofa.
For QBs I have Romo and Eli, plus Sanchez for shits and giggles. For TE I have Gates and Keller, plus Boss because that’s just how I roll. And for RB my big 3 are back in action with Steven Jackson, Pierre Thomas and Jahvid Best, though I expect Best to get diddly-squat against the Giants.
While I, on the other hand, have five starting QBs on my roster and only one real RB. I’ve got a ton of WRs and 2 TEs.
A three-team trade would probably benefit all of us if it was possible.
We Do HGH has a glut of RBs.
I don’t see a problem with 3 team trades in principle. We might just have to announce a sequence of trades ahead of time. Anyway I’ll be sending out some trade offers. If you want one of my WRs dig in.
I was about to say ahem and then realized I don’t really have a glut of anything. Well, running backs, but the only one I’d trade is Reggie Bush.
I’m (Warner’s Brothers) still really hurting at RB. I’m still very WR heavy, but no one is off limits except for Brees.
I’ll start sending out offers later, but if anyone wants any of my WRs, I can use… anything. Need a QB, TE, or RBs.
WRs are Randy Moss, Braylon Edwards, Eddie Royal, Johnny Knox, Davone Bess, Josh Cribbs, Louis Murphy, Demaryius Thomas, Julian Edelman, Mohamed Massaquoi, and Lance Moore.

You know, with how devoid of stars my roster is, and how most of my players are equally meh, getting the second highest (85%) coaching grade is pretty good. I have fairly hard decisions every week.
Looked at a different way, you haven’t really got any points to leave on the bench.
That’s the thing though - I’m choosing significantly different players for my WR, WR, WR/TE, WR/RB slots every week, and I’m doing a pretty good job of playing the matchups well. I have a lot of Eddie Royal vs Davone Bess vs Josh Cribbs type decisions and I’ve done a pretty solid job with them. My bench isn’t that good, but neither are my starters, which makes starting the right guys tough from week to week.
As I’ve mentioned in a couple other threads, I’ll be helping my mother move this weekend and so might not have a chance to update my roster by Sunday. I have a trade offer out to another team that’s under consideration. In case it’s accepted and happens to go through in time for this week’s games, I want to go on record as intending to start the TE (in the TE slot) and DEF that the trade would net me, though it’s possible I’d have to adjust my roster after the fact.
I love how the chart shows I am my team’s own worst enemy. I really am the Andy Reid of Fantasy Football, messing up all my game time decisions.
Trade to announce.
Gusterrhoids gives up Kyle Orton and Tony Gonzalez
Exploding Pancakes gives up Eddie Royal
It’s a weird trade, I know. The production on each side is unbalanced, but Gonzo basically has almost no dynasty value. He’s slowing down and there’s a good chance he’ll retire at the end of this year.
And… I don’t even know if Kyle Orton is the long term starter. McDaniels is mildly crazy and an egotistical bastard willing to thumb his nose at the league, and he didn’t draft Tebow in round 1 for no reason, so I’m a little concerned there too.
But I needed a backup QB with Rodgers being iffy (I managed to end up with 1 QB on my roster) and Gonzo just needs to be a one year fill in with Finley coming back next year.
OTOH, it seems like Eddie Royal’s crappy 2009 was a fluke and he’s been consistently pretty productive this year again, so he may have the most guaranteed dynasty future of all the players involved in the trade.
Anyway, how long does it take for a trade to go through? I need this before gametime sunday, but if it takes exactly 48 hours then I’m going to be 3 hours late. If it processes the morning of the third day, I’m good. Does anyone know for sure which it is?
This is why I wanted the option of fast tracking trades in my other leagues - it seems crappy that someone can finish up a deal friday morning and still not have it reflected in sunday’s game.
I haven’t voted against a trade in any league in years but this is a ridiculous trade.
Gonzalez for Royal is even but adding Orton makes it so unbalanced.
Gonzalez, a guy who’s probably got 8 more games in his career, for Royal, a productive WR2 just entering his third year, in a dynasty league, is an even trade for you?
Gonzalez could play for another 4 years if he wants to. His numbers this year translate to about 800 yards and 4 touchdowns, which is pretty much what he had last year, and right around his career average (bit low on the touchdown side). I should add that Shannon Sharpe posted one of his 5 best statistical seasons at 34, the same age Gonzalez is now, and retired afterward.
Royal isn’t even a full time starter in Denver, and there’s no telling whether he’ll turn back into a pumpkin at any time.
Orton is averaging 350 yards per game, and shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s a totally unbalanced trade. However, because I can see arguments for it- Royal’s ceiling is virtually limitless, and Orton isn’t throwing many TD passes, for all that yardage- I wouldn’t vote against it.
