That would actually make it more difficult for me personally. I own all of the movies that have been mentioned so far (which probably says too much about my movie collection) but I don’t have TCM. And I like the idea of being able to pick virtually any movie rather than be limited to what’s being broadcast this week.

Are some of these movies available on youtube? Or am I being a philistine for even suggesting this?

Also, please tell me I am NOT the only one who reads the title as the SDMB Fight Club.

If they want. If not, whoever else wants to start a thread on that date. I, for example, have a work schedule that puts my posting schedule at strange hours.

I would suggest putting SDMB Film Club and the title of the movie in the thread title so people can find it. And a spoiler warning. So I’ll start a thread on July 18 called SDMB Film Club: Casablanca (spoilers) if nobody else does.

I just found out I’ll be working a forty hour weekend. This will cut into my posting time (as well as my sleeping and eating and living time). So I won’t be able to start a Seven Samurai thread until at least Sunday evening. If anyone else wants to start one ahead of that, feel free to do so with my thanks.
