Sdmb mafia

I’m not particularly concerned over Nanook swinging today, since he’s going to bite it soon anyway. I’m hoping for an NBC lynch, because he sounds scummy and has made a bit more than his fair share of logic torture.

NBC, how many games have you played? And in how many were you town?

I am not satisfied with the DiggitCamera lynch, since all we know is that he hasn’t been participating much, and he wasn’t piled on when it would have been convenient (for which there could be multiple factors).

Diggit needs to get his butt in here.

If it comes down to it, I’d be willing to move my vote back to Nanook to prevent a tie, but I hope that I don’t have to.

Hey diggit. What say you about NBC?

Well… I’ve been trying to avoid this as much as I can, but I prefer to disclose my role to letting town getting bitten in the ass (much though we deserve it).

I’m your faithful Administrator.

I won’t be disclosing my powers (I’m giving away too much as it is). However: my powers are definitely verifiable.

… dunno. Should I say something about him? (He’s a peacock?)

It occurs to me…I’ve been assuming that the day ending would be more or less random…but perhaps it’s not. Perhaps there’s some sort of secret criteria that ends the day each day once we’ve hit it (rounding to the nearest hour, of course).

How many games is this for you NBC?
7., … forbidden threads.
How many live games ?

3 … including this one

Well if we can’t get an Aliens reference in, it just wouldn’t be a SMDB themed mafia game.
This is my third game.
I was indeed scum in Conspiracy 2, although a Cabal member so was trying to play for town and genuinely hunt wolves, alas my method screamed scum and I was killed by wolves through a kill redirect from a town who figured I was scum of one faction or the other.
I was also scum in the T2 game just finished, although I was the Jester , so sort of had act scummy to get lynched. That said my first post that Story jumped all over was intended as a pro town post and I really didn’t intend to smudge Sach, just act as a townie asking questions. Apparently I ooze scuminess.

me too.

I don’t know what to do about DiggitCamara yet. Probably gotta err on the side of caution and unvote him. Won’t unvote yet, though, due to the way ties work in this game, and because I haven’t picked anyone to take his place.

Pedescribe’s post made me re-read Og’s commandments, and I discovered that my assumption about Day length was wrong. I thought that the Day would last 2-6 days, based on random numbers in 24-hour increments.

So, as it turns out, the 24-hour increment isn’t in the rules. That complicates things.

Diggit–give us the method by which you’ll be confirming your identity, pls, if nothing else.

Nanook–convenient, but I’ll buy it for now.

That leaves vote NaturalBlondChap

Good thing I asked. This means that we have no confirmed evidence of you playing town yet. Meaning that the scummy playstyle I’m seeing might just be natural…which makes me conflicted.

But not conflicted enough to move my vote.

Indeed it does. I see, though, that there is no obscure trigger, which makes sense (if there was, I’m betting that we’d have it solved on day 3, 4 at the latest).

In my opinion, what we should do is ignore it. Pretend we have the 48 hour deadline, then ignore all possible ending times–just keep playing until lights out.

Well, ok. Diggit, how are we to confirm you, please?

Unvote Diggit.

Nanook, I’ve stated in past games that I’m very much against soft claims. Assuming that your condition is as you’ve claimed, I can’t fault you for revealing it. Please understand that your failure to fully claim appears suspicious, and means we have to evaluate our votes for you based on the risk of losing unknown powers, rather than known ones. Until you give us a reason not to vote for you, its not fair to declare that lynching you is anti-town or poor play.

(post de-colorized)

Telling you that now would equal telling you my powers. Keep in mind: if I tell you my powers, I am telling scum as well.

Do you want me to reveal them?

I am just using the word ‘power’ to describe the various role quirks and conditions that have been revealed. I alluded up thread that power was not a good word but I couldn’t think of another one. For example Nanooks ‘power’ is that he has to get a different person to vote for him. I still maintain everything that has been revealed so far indicates colour is important and his conditions strike me as being disruptive so he needs to be banned.

Now given I am at least 12 hours out from most of you, and based on what Diggit has said, I can see a large swing towards Nanook or me coming up whilst I am slumbering and unable to respond, and the day is coming to an end.
So I am town, I am not vanilla town, my role name is not confirmable or testable in anyway (other than being dead and it being revealed by OG)
I think being unconfirmable in the end game will not help town at all, (based on what i saw in C2 and Terminator) so if you are going to mislynch town, it would be better to mislynch me rather than the admin or another town role.
I would obviously rather we banned Nanook though, because of reasons stated above.

I’m probably going to get a lot of heat for this, but I don’t care.

I want you to reveal them. If it’s a false claim, the less time you have to make stuff up, the better. We don’t know whether scum can talk during the Day, but they can definitely talk at Night. So if you’re scum, and Night suddenly falls, I don’t want the whole group to come up with a strategy for you. You’re the only one who claimed under pressure, so your role claim is the most suspicious to me right now. If you’re pro-town, I’m willing to give up whatever advantage we lose by revealing your role.

**OG I did not decolourise my quote of Hal Briston in post 554. Not that I am saying you would ever skim a post and make a mistake and think I was voting for myself, but one of your minion vote tally dudes might. **

Didn’t the mod already confirm that scum could talk during day?

ok11, are you new, or do you have experience elsewhere (or do you have a different screenname elsewhere)? Just curious.

Anyway, I’m not much of a fan of magic bags either, but I’m willing to let this one slide–on one condition. Diggit. You never said when your role is confirmable. If it’s confirmable by Tommorow, then you’re fine not revealing it, because if you don’t, we lynch you. OTOH, if it’s a gradual confirmation process, please tell us, because if you don’t, and you’re not confirmed Tommorow, we’re going to lynch you.

I don’t thing Og said anything to that effect.

Og works in mysterious ways.

Pedescribe, I’m a newbie.

Interesting.

  1. First reaction by ok11: “I’ll probably unvote but not just yet”. That non-reaction meant, of course, that I would be lynched at the time
  2. As soon as someone else asked about my powers, ok11 states “the less time you have to make stuff up, the better”. Never mind that, it hadn’t even been his/her idea

Extremely scummy, if you ask me. Enough to:

Unvote Nanook

and

Vote ok11
