Sdmb mafia

You’re in this game?

Huh? Are you sure you don’t want to double-check your notes?

Zeriel, the 72-hour (I typed 74 in 2 posts where I meant to say 72 [24*3=72 :smack:]) list was a mistake. I thought that the Day ended in a random number of days, not hours, so I thought that not having a vote by that deadline was bad. Now we know otherwise, so apparently not having a vote anytime after the 48-hour mark is risky.

When I make notes for myself, I share many of them with everyone else, because (1) I think it might be helpful to others and (2) when I spend time looking for patterns and clues, I want to have something to show for it.

Pedescribe, I didn’t do any research. I’ve been a lurker on this board for a while, so I’ve read several games. But I didn’t read anything on the other board and Facebook, which is why I’m still confused about a couple of things. For example, this is the first time I’ve seen the term PFK (which someone already defined), I don’t know why Zeriel doesn’t like lists, and I don’t understand what kind of power Nanook claimed to have, etc.

I’m changing my definition of a lurker, again, I think there were enough voting deadlines yeaterDay to use not voting as a good definition.

At the 48 hour deadline seven people had not voted based on the official count they were Blam, Diggit, Fretful, Hal, JSexton, Kat, and Pleo. I think it is safe to eliminate Diggit from this conversation. At 74 hours Blam and Hal did not have a vote in while Zeriel had unvoted without a replacement. At the end of the day Blam was the only person without a vote while Pleo and Rapier had unvoted. Something is up with Blam never voting even though he was posting in the game it is just too noticeable so I am going to go with number two on my lurky list.

Vote Hal Briston

OK, my show is open and I’ve now got a decent chunk more time, so my participation is going to increase. I am going to begin with a voting review of yesterDay to see if I can glean what afflicted us. We’ve got 3 Town deaths, which sucks but provides a decent amount of data to evaluate. I will begin shortly and post that tonight.

On an unrelated note, a couple of people have commented on Blaster, so I wanted to mention that I’ve played in several games with him, and he often disappears for a while, then comes back and dumps a huge pile of posts to catch up. So, bear that in mind when evaluating him.*

*This is not a defense of Blaster, who for all I know is scummity scum scum, but just the benefit of my experience over several games with him, when we was both town and scum.

So you’re saying we should just ignore slips, since they might just be fumblebrainedness? Otherwise, I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make.

I have nothing special I wish to share at this time. I’m sorry I can’t be more eloquent, but sometimes there are powers beyond your control that get in the way, if you take my meaning.

I have to agree with Shadowfacts, in that Blam disappearing for a while is nothing unusual. He’ll be along shortly I would bet, along with a huge string of posts as he goes back through the thread and responds to various things.

I would like to know what Jsexton is hinting at with ok11. The question sounds like a Watcher or Tracker that caught ok11 doing something last Night, but peeker was a Watcher, and two seems unlikely, though not out of the question.

accord ing to my role pm

In other words, you were blocked? That probably means you’ll get Mod-killed today. In which case, please consider telling us everything (your role name, SN, powers). If you’re really pro-town, then you win with the town, and the more info we have the better.

Also, a question for Santo Rugger. You said, “I’m Terry, the board’s doctor.” Just to make sure I understand correctly, you have: Role Name = Terry, Power = Board Doctor, or simply Doctor?

In the interests of getting an early vote in, I’m going to again
vote Kat

primarily because my reasons for voting her yesterday have not changed. No vote at the 48 hour point, low participation, but posts once or twice with long analytical posts - I just think it’s possibly scummy behavior, designed to allay suspicion without having to really get out there and discuss and help the town.

However, I’m very willing to change my vote as the day goes on, and I’m certainly not “picking” on Kat - there are several people who are behaving in a very similar way.

Pretty sure. Anything you want to tell me?

No, why do you ask?

Hey ok11 – I don’t like think I’m getting tunnel vision (I fully agree with Zeriel here), but what’s the deal with this?

Am I missing something? Why would being blocked lead to getting modkilled? Seriously…this is looking like a fishing expedition of Bassmasters proportions.

And if you’ve got something on him, JSexton, we’d love to hear it.

In fact, fuggit…

Vote ok11

Wouldn’t you rather hear it from him?

The portion of my PM that listed me as board doctor wasn’t a Screen Name:, Power:, or Role:. It was simply a sentence in its own paragraph between my Screen Name: and my Alignment:.

I hear ya. Somebody’s lying about something.

JSexton, if you have something to say, say it. If you think it’s bad for you to say it, than why did you bring it up? Also, I’m female, but that’s not relevant to the game.

Yep, a huge chunk of yesterDay. Brief recap: several players didn’t like Nanook’s claim, and thought that he was scum or PFK. They wanted to lynch him, right there and then. Others (including me) wanted to wait and see his power, and depending on what happens at Night, let him live or get Mod killed. The Night is over, and he has nothing to show for it.

I’m guessing that many of the people who voted for him yesterday, as well as the ones who wanted to wait for a Night and see if we’ll get some evidence that he’s pro-town, will want him dead. Mod kill would probably be the way to go, because then we get to test his claim (if he stays alive, then he lied) and get to lynch someone who looks scummy. Trouble with Mod lynch is that we might not get any info. So if he’s pro-town, it would behoove Nanook to tell us the things I mentioned before he’s Mod killed.

I’d love to – but it seems to me he’s said all he’s going to.

<reading…reading…reading…>

…but it seems to me she’s said all she’s going to.

:smack:

Yeah, I get it…I was taking that as much more of a direct line “getting blocked means you get modkilled”, and wondered where you got such a ridiculous notion. I completely blanked on the potential false/misleading power claim. Sorry 'about that. This alleviates some of my suspicion (at least until we hear what’s happening with JSexton).

The thing is, I don’t really think Nanook is lying about his voting condition. If he’s lying about something, it’s his alignment or powers.

Forgot the important bit…

Unvote ok11
