I followed your link and it went to a page or screen called evergreen dot com and that’s all it showed was the words evergreen. ?
That’s because the URL is wrong.
It’s https://postimages.org
Sorry about that! I can’t seem to get anything right about this. ![]()
It’s an easy mistake to make.
I see it, and would comment on it if it wasn’t against the rules.
Ominous! ![]()
I wish my entry was sharper but there was a bank protest nearby and I didn’t want to linger.
Interesting. Already we have two entries from Catalan Spain, with almost certainly a third coming up ( I’m in Mallorca at the moment, and there’s some fabulous stuff here).
Must be the culture.

I have an already taken photo I want to use but I can’t find it, also just in front of my house there is another interesting graffiti, maybe I’ll take a photo of it and use it. Decisions…
Well, it’s not even mid-month; you have some time to decide.
I got nuthin this month, will be sitting this one out, but look forward to voting when the time comes.
It’s frustrating as I am in a very graffiti friendly city but it all happens far away from where I live, so the only way to get there is a long journey. But also it’s Autumn and the sun is sporadic at best. A dark dingy alley is not worth the effort.
Come to think of it, I might have something for this month, if I can get the right angle to photograph it from.
Palma de Mallorca has some fabulous street art. This was actually my favourite but I never managed to take a decent photo. Click thru, as usual.
How bad we are but oh how good we are going through it (according to google translate).
j
I would translate it as “How bad is our situation but how good is the time we are having”
Thank you - I knew someone would sort that out!
To be honest, I thought it was Spanish, but in Palma your first instinct is always to assume that it’s probably Mallorquin, that variant of Catalan being the local language. And, if you’re looking at a small sample, depending on the composition, I might struggle to distinguish Mallorquin from Spanish anyway
j
Looks like Spanish to me.
I’ll take your word for it!
I was just musing on how easily I can be fooled because of my lack of familiarity with this family of languages.
j
It is ambiguous, it could also be past tense. Something like, to make it more idiomatic / natural sounding in English:
What a horrible situation we find ourselves in but, oh! what fun we had!
And I can attest that it is Spanish, not Malloquin or Catalan.
Great pictures, all of them. Clearly inspired by Banksy.
