I can think of many different kinds of images that would fulfil the topic very effectively, but do I possess any such photos? No I do not. It’s also the height of winter where I am. No heat coming my way for a while.
I’m also stymied. The only thing even remotely I can come up with is a horse in motion photo captioned “hot to trot.” Maybe I’ll go with that.

Okay, I chose an entry. The hot is a horse so all fired up to be racing over the cross-country course that he reared up in the start box, dumped his rider, and took off without him. He was caught, brought back, remounted, and did finish the competition. The professional riding him in this photo eventually gave up on trying to compete him, he was so hot-headed and difficult.
Today, at a site where I was working, there was a guy using a device to measure how compacted the soil was over a conduit I had just installed. Noticing a radiation symbol on the device, I pulled out my RadiaCode RC-103 and determined that this device was quite “hot”.
Too bad I didn’t have time to take some pictures of it in operation.
Yeah, I’ve got a picture of some steaks just pulled off the grill that I was considering. It definitely fits the theme, but it’s not a great pic, sadly. I’m still looking…

I think I’ll take a photo of some Jalapeños, or as they are colloquially called in Argentina “Ají puta parió” (something like “Son of a bitch chili”, because that’s the first thing that comes out of the mouth of someone who tries to eat them like they were peppers)
(though, to be nitpicky and straight dopian, it’s not exactly the same plant variety, but the name applies anyway)

I admit I choose my entry partly for the irony of having my entries for both the “Cold” and “Hot” themes being taken in Iceland. I had some similar photos from Lassen that I also considered.
Darkstratus just posted a pic in the Hot thread that doesn’t preview at all, just shows as a link; and when I went to open it in a new window is taking quite a long time to load. Does do so if you’re patient though.
