I am also using postimages now.
I’m currently using a free Google account, but of course storage is capped because of that (haven’t reached the limit and had to decide if I will pay for more). It also requires a multi-step, not explained and not terribly intuitive process to set up a permanent postable image. I found out how to do it from somewhere else on the web because I had various reservations with the other free options I had found - compression, image sizes, short vs long-term storage, unusually-slow loading speeds, that sort of thing.
I don’t know if it is the best solution, but it is working for me so far. But it is not the most simple.

Gah, any other links from that website show an image in preview then I get the “can’t embed” message. Sorry, friends, but I’m going to go back to using Bluesky and putting up with the need to click through annoyance, if Imgur gives me any more distortion.

I think we’ve wigged out the free version of postimages. Will be interesting to see if the images reappear tomorrow.
