In my part of the world, we’d call him a proper unit.
If that’s your entry for the competition, can you post it in the competition thread? It won’t end up in the poll otherwise.

Very cool choice. I did a search for “home” in my photo app and spent an enjoyable hour looking through what the algorithm returned. Menus with “homemade” written, pictures taken in Homestead, Pennsylvania, pictures taken at my home address, and “homey” pictures.
That’s always my first port of call as well - it’s amazing what I’ve accumulated in my photo library over the years. Sometimes, like with this one, a particular image that I’ve taken pops into my head, although I’m not certain about it yet…
Even though I play chess and cribbage. I’m not a very competitive person. I may share some pictures of the Fourteeners across the valley from my home. Once I get home in a few days.
That’s actually a Full sized Bass
Thanks for the tip. But I’m sure I will soon forget.
This fellow was just on the other side of our fire pit. Mowing the grass over our leach field.
I think .png and other formats also work.
This was my second choice. The first is in the competition thread.
Home is where you can completely eff up the bed and no one gets mad at you:
Deleted. Can’t post picture again.
Deleted. Just can’t get the picture to post.
Have you tried using imgur? It’s easy as pie.
mmm
That’s what I tried. Upload pic, copy URL try to post. Adding the .jpg suggestion is not working either.
You can click on the link in discourse, It cuts off the bottom half of the picture unless you click on it.
For instance
That’s because you’re doing it wrong. It seems like about the thousandth time I’ve had to explain this. Click on whatever function displays the image in a new tab in your particular browser (like a right-click on the image and select “open in a new tab”) and then copy that URL and paste it here, like this:
And, BTW, that’s a beautiful scene!
Ok. Imgur has an option to copy the URL and says post in any application. Does not work.
The opening in a browser works, and then copying that URL works. I’ve tried to just modify the URL here and could not get it to work.
This is a former dog Kricket behind our house. About 1/4 mile. We are surrounded by Fourteeners in the Colorado high country.
It’s wonderful, but winters can be brutal.
Thanks.
For this month’s theme I thought about trying to take a nighttime shot of the view from my back door. I always kind of thought the view of the streetlight around the corner makes it look like a scene from a film noir movie. But you really need a foggy night to get that effect, and this time of year we don’t get that kind of weather. And I realized I probably just wasn’t going to get to it, so I just went with another shot from my recent trip. They’re someone’s homes.
They still have TV antennas like those in Northern Ireland?
Some of the houses in my neighborhood, built in the 1970s, in Northern California still have those antennas.
But only because they were too lazy to take them down, right? TV stations don’t transmit like that anymore? At least in the last countries I have lived (Spain, Belgium and Germany) they stopped years ago.
