That pool of water is a little “water hole” for cattle. It’s only about an acre or so.
That photo is one single exposure - 10 seconds if I recall correctly. I composed it so that I would get reflections in the water.
If anyone is interested, the photo of orchids I just posted was taken in our front yard. Five or so years ago, a colony of common spotted orchids just appeared on our front lawn - we don’t mow those parts of the lawn until the seed is set.

I do tons of night photography so for this month’s category it wasn’t tough finding a photo, it was tough finding A photo. I’m in.
June poll will go up later tonight (Thursday) when I get home.
mmm
@Karen_Lingel was yours taken when the water was dyed?
No I believe it is just the lights on/in the fountain itself.
Would it be wrong to bump the monthly photo thread during the voting period, so that everybody knows about it?
Yeah, I keep thinking that.
Hope you don’t mind, @Mean_Mr.Mustard, but I’ll give it a little bump right now.

So many of the entries are unique and cool.
I didn’t notice it at the time I took it, but the Easter bunny following the float kinda gives me the creeps.
So sad, out of state tending to family issues, won’t get to vote, but may be a blessing, so many good entries to pick from this month!
For the record I think we should bump away (within reason).
Maybe just one nudge on the last day of voting? Anyone who notices the situation can do so.

I think I did better than that.
Where did you find that old fossil of an oscilloscope?
Many years ago, as a student of electronics, I happened to mention, while I was at my church, that I wanted to acquire an oscilloscope. A lady nearby heard that, and offered to give me this one, which had belonged to her late husband. I think that was some time in the 1990s.
It’s a Tektronix 502A, possibly almost as old as I am.
I have owned many, many oscilloscopes over the years.I still use a Tek 468 regularly. I had a Tek 316, which was a really nifty compact guy:

My first ‘scope was a Hicock. Made in the “golden era” of oscilloscope manufacturing, when everyone was making them.
