Is that the horse whose vet claims it is hard to tell? Looks beautiful and strong! (The horse, not the vet)
No, that’s a random competitor at the local horse trials, back about a decade ago. Mine were just as handsome but we never did that kind of stuff.
I was able to click through and see the whole thing.
Ooops - timely reminder that I need to repost it (as properly as I can).
Ta!

Goddam, it’s still hideously cropped. Click through for the picture, guys.

Looks great, I love the pattern of light on the floor!
Hey thanks! I should fess up and say that Mrs T pointed out the floor to me; but I’m responsible for the composition.

So do I!
Sorry, I’ve once again dicked around and waited until the end of the month to post an image. I find I’m suffering from complete “paralysis by analysis” lately.
I thought about posting this one, just because it was such a cool event, but went with the other because it was more “artistic”.
This is from a few years ago when I used to chase for a hot-air balloon company, and we participated in an event where a lot (I don’t remember the exact number) of balloons did a balloon-glow INSIDE Cowboy’s Stadium.
And this is how the cathedral looks from the outside:
The sky really was that colour, it was september around 20:00.
@beowulff - But destined to take the place of the mudshark in their mythology
A quick look at what I nearly posted. A better fit for the theme perhaps, but the photo’s nothing special.
Do you use a circular polarizer to deepen the sky?
That was a trivial Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, no filters, no editing, no cropping. The sun was about half an hour from setting right behind me. From the inside you can see the light oversaturates the window (and the phone sensor) by shining almost horizontally into the cathedral.
ETA: I have checked, it was not september, it was august. The other informations are correct. In the pictures one hour before, as we went into the cathedral, the sky was a much paler blue.
Many nice pictures for this month! As for me, I had a lot of trouble deciding which one to post. Maybe some paralysis from analysis like @Turek was having. I thought about going with one of these —
Immersive Van Gogh
San Francisco CA — Mar 2022
Kayakers on the White Salmon River
Husum Falls WA — Sep 2016
Psychedelic Porsche 356 coupé
Laguna Lake Park, San Luis Obispo CA — May 2024
Autumn on the St. Lawrence Seaway
Thousands Island, Gananoque, ON CAN — Oct 2019
But in the end I decided to go with the one from the light show. Walking through that colorful field in the chill of the winter night was a spectacular experience. Everybody there was quiet and hushed.
I know someone says it most every month, but I really believe this month’s contest has the most stunning entries of any previous theme.
Let’s just do “colors” every month.
mmm
@aurora_maire, I always think what a beautiful house you must have!
Wow - thank you! What a nice thing to say. I have stained glass/sun catchers hanging in all of the windows. Of course, the others don’t have as many as this one, which is the window over the kitchen sink. It sort of became a catch-all over the years.
