Did any of them make you want to break on through to the other side?
May I ask a dumb question that I might not understand the answer to? Why do some photos (as viewed on my computer) display narrowly, and others fill the allotted space from side to side? I take most pictures with my phone in portrait mode, but it seems like sometimes they display properly and other times not.
My photo is much darker in Flikr than the original is on my computer; even looking at both on the same monitor.
Using Imgur as a host?
Because - their code is borked, that’s why. The only way that I have found to get an imgur-hosted photo to display correctly is to upload it twice, then click on one of the images and share that. If you only upload a single image, the share link distorts the image.

If any of you post on Bluesky, post your photo there. When the post loads, click into it and click on the image, which will open full screen. Right click “open image in new tab”, copy the url, and paste it in your post here, and voila! ETA: I believe it works the same way on Reddit.
So, testing Reddit. Here’s what happens when I click on the image in the post and copy that URL:

Ah, so, still not a good way to post in the contest thread, but at least you get the actual image.
The only good way I’ve found using Imgur is upload your photo to their site. It will then display your photo. If you mouse over onto the photo, it will show you a “Copy Link” button in the upper right hand corner of the image. Click on that, then paste directly into the thread, it displays for me perfectly every time. YMMV.

I took that photo on vacation in Bruges, Belgium in 2018.
