By way of explanation (just posted), from The Pickwick Papers:

‘Have you drank the waters, Mr. Weller?’ inquired his companion, as they walked towards High Street.

‘Once,’ replied Sam.

‘What did you think of ‘em, Sir?’

‘I thought they was particklery unpleasant,’ replied Sam.

‘Ah,’ said Mr. John Smauker, ‘you disliked the killibeate taste, perhaps?’

‘I don’t know much about that ‘ere,’ said Sam. ‘I thought they’d a wery strong flavour o’ warm flat irons.’

‘That is the killibeate, Mr. Weller,’ observed Mr. John Smauker contemptuously.

‘Well, if it is, it’s a wery inexpressive word, that’s all,’ said Sam. ‘It may be, but I ain’t much in the chimical line myself, so I can’t say.’

The first voter only submitted one vote, not three. When I scrolled up to check the names (I never can remember) my first vote was deleted, perhaps something similar has happened to them. I am sure they can add the two remaining votes if they whish.

Indeed you are not, but it is not usual, so I thought I could point that out so the first voter can correct it. Would be a pity if they voted for me and it did not register, wouldn’t it? :wink: This round I have the picture with the best original soundtrack after all.

Voted. To my mind, there was one clear winner - I could imagine it hanging in a gallery and fetching a good price. But my second and third place votes were also very good compositions. This was a fun category that yielded a lot of variety.

I will just mention, last month I voted 3, only one registered and I had to go back and re-vote my other 2 choices. No idea what was going on there.

There’s some issue with polls, I have noticed in the Poll thread. If you scroll back for any reason, your votes vanish. Solution: Vote, then hit the back button or something to go back to your previous page, then hit the forward button, then you can scroll back, etc, as your votes are “officially registered”. This is just my opinion based on experiments and conjecture.

@ShadowFacts , where was your picture? It looks Mediterranean, but I can’t pin it down any more than that.

It’s taken from the bottom of this well in Italy. It is a deep well with two helical paths around it so back in the day you could walk your donkey down to get water and then back up without getting into a traffic jam. Same goes for tourists these days, minus getting the water :slight_smile: All the windows provide natural light.

So contest-wise it is “a whole lot of windows.”
