SDMB name dropped on MBMBAM [podcast]

Mods: feel free to move to wherever if not appropriate here, but this seemed EXTREMELY on the nose for this forum.

The most recent episode of the rather popular podcast My Brother, My Brother, and Me (Episode 449: The Cable Pie) had a few minutes of directly talking about the SDMB, specifically mentioning this rather old thread discussing the fate of Hershey’s Tastations candy.

It’s one of my favorite shows, and was a pretty disconcerting “worlds collide” moment. Also doubly amusing because my first interactions with the SDMB were posting in a thread about Pez flavors way back in the AOL days. There’s something about this place and discontinued candy…

Title edited to indicate subject.

Is PEZ discontinued ? To be true, the candy was always awful, but the dispensers were unbeatable.

Appears not.

When The End of The World comes, the planet will be inhabited by cockroaches, Pez, and Peeps. You read it here first.

PS Yeah, it has nothing to do with the subject per se … but I answered the question.

Oh well, I’m relieved a bit. But judging by the homepage, the dispensers look nothing like back then. I liked Goofy…

Chocolate mint tastations were the best candy ever. How in the hell was it decided to stop making them?? I once quit smoking by gobbling those things and gaining weight.

I nearly bought an Aquaman Pez earlier this week, but I decided against it because it was such a poor likeness of Jason Momoa.

Nope! Sorry for the ambiguity. The thread I started was in reference to discontinued flavors referenced in Cecil’s column about the stuff. I was curious if anybody actually knew what the heck “Chlorophyll” flavor tasted like.

Madame Pepperwinkle has a Pres. James K. Polk Pez dispenser.

Wow, very interesting column. I never knew that PEZ came from Austria, of all places! I thought it was something deeply genuine American.

Just dropped in to brag about my Bob Ross Pez Dispenser.

Is it the biggest head they ever produced?

Is it better than my Bob Ross POP figure?
